Mid-Season Real World Quickstart - Is there any way to do this?

I need some advice from someone with a little more experience than I have.

What I want to do is create a Quickstart Challenge, which will play sort of like a scenario. The player will be hired as the Royals new General Manager instead of Dayton Moore and they will be given 5 years to get the Royals to a playoff game (I might do a scoring method with some other goals).

Any way, the question is: Is there anyway to take a roster set and then edit game files to bring the season date to 6/7/06 with the correct records for teams and stats for players up to that point?

It would have to be a saved game I think. I like the idea.

Yeah, once I get the game to that point I will create a quickstart file. My question is how can I advance the game to that point, mimicing exactly the history of a partial 2006 Baseball season.

At this point, I'm almost 100 pct. sure it's impossible.

Dang. I kind of thought that might be the case. I may just have to make the start date the beginning of the season then.

You could control all thirty teams, play out every game and hope the outcomes are similar.

Yes theirs probley is. If we could edit the Standings before we start a league. Don't forget to update Stats then.
