I've finished up getting as many photos as possible together. I approximately 13,000 players found. As of right now I'm missing 3765 players, HOFers, Managers Etc. The breakdown of missing players is (according to their Major League Debut)...

I've tried to get and have recieved permission from most everybody who did the previous sets (Tiger Fan, Wrightwing,Chuck, Dow, Jeff Olson, Joe Maness, Killer B) and have recieved additional help from Bearman and Splitter on some other photos.

I forgot to mention...these photos are the best quality ones I could gather together. The photos almost all formatted correctly and jpgs. There are some rough ones in there and I would like to down the road work on getting better quality shots of some guys. Also, for the most part I tried to get the earliest pictures of players when I had the opportunity. (Bonds on the Giants, Sosa with the White Sox).

The player names are according to my database and there should be no duplicate names BUT I have included with the set updated master files for Lahman, Arod/Garlon and Ankit databases which have the names edited accordingly. Just pop them into your respective database directory and viola!

Gambo Photo Pack

First of all I’d like to thank the numerous people of the OOTP community who have helped me put this together including Tiger Fan, Wrightwing, Chuck, Dow, Jeff Olson, Joe Maness, Killer B, Splitter and Bearman who have put in tons of hours to get many of these photos together. I would also like to thank Ankit, Arod, Garlon and others who have helped me on the database and the use of their master files for editing.

This is essentially the biggest attempt so far to get a photo pack together containing all of the players who have ever played major league baseball, this set also includes Negro Leaguers, Managers, additional HOFers and others. The collection of names is gathered from the Lahman Database. There are a total of 16,589 different people contained throughout the numerous databases produced by our community, of which I have thus far collected 12,839.

I have tried to get the best quality photo possible for these players using the various photo packs available and my own work. However, some are pretty rough but they are limited to short term players. All are formatted for use in OOTP2006 as .jpg files.

They are collected in 4 .zip files sorted by first name.

Features

- Numerous players are renamed so that there as few as possible duplicate names for these photos. As of right now the only one I can find is Jimmy Williams one was an early century player and the other was a pre-1900 manager.
o I have included in this collection master files for the four major databases which reflect these name changes (Ankit, Arod/Garlon, Lahman and Gambo)
o I have also included a list of players who I am currently missing from the databases. (MissingList.csv)

I have attempted to get the earliest possible quality photos for many players such as Barry Bonds with Pittsburgh, Sammy Sosa with the Rangers. I have done this whenever convenient over the course of this process.

In the future I would like to do the following things:
1. fill in the gaps and find more players
2. create “stock” photos for those players I cannot find
3. find better photos or tweak some of the photos I have that need improvement
4. work on finding earlier photos for some players (my desire is to have as many as possible with their original teams)

Wow, a 13,000 player photo collection combined with the latest patch that now allows you to have just one photo directory... well it's fantastic news! (In the latest patch the game will copy a photo to it's local directory only as it is needed during the course of the game.)

I would be interested in downloading it. What about OOTPModSquad? Wouldn't that be a good site to host it?

I still haven't gotten a response from anybody and I sent it to the Mod Squad but haven't seen any development. I still have a couple more options such as rapidshare but Im being patient....
