How to Install Cubby/Rolen Rosters?

Hello, I'm a bit new to the OOTP scene in terms of actually having the game and importing the rosters. Anyways, I have no clue how to import the rosters into my game and I was hoping if someone could walk me through the process. Thank you.

I don't know why this hasn't been answered. I'll try, but I'm not so sure this is right. I've seen this question asked and no one ever answers, and I finally just figured it out, *I think*

Unzip the file (it takes a fairly long time and I've got a newer CPU). I just unzipped mine to the desktop. There should be a folder then on the desktop entitled CRBeta06_v0.2 folder containing another folder entitled CubbyRolenBeta06.lg

Move that CubbyRolenBeta06.lg folder, with all its contents intact, into the C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\saved_games folder and you should be good to go.

What are you using to unzip? It takes me less than 30 seconds to unzip using the default XP zip utility. Altho my PC is 3Ghz and has 2GB of ram. Dunno what exactly you consider "newer" heh

This explanation is correct as far as unzipping the .lg folder to the saved games dir. There really needs to be a readme file with the simple info about the file, so these questions don't get repeated 100 times. Someone who has a bit better grasp of the various workings of the installation and other functions than me should take up this project.

Yeah I'm totally useless other than zipping so if anyone wants to put together a readme for me I'd appreciate it.

I used the default XP prog. I've got a 3.2 GHz w/ 2GB Ram and 2 160 GB HD. Well, when I say "a while" I mean probably less than 1 minute and maybe less than 30 seconds. I just mean its not immediate like most zipped files I come accross....

There's a ridiculous number of files in there so that's probably why moreso than the size of the file itself.

Not to be difficult, but Im relatively new as well, and I went thru and did those steps, but it still doesn't work for me...

Is there anything else that needs to be done?

Other than going into the game and loadng the saved game once the .lg file is sitting in the saved_games folder you should be good to go. Make sure you only put the .lg folder into the saved_games folder and not the folder above it that is created depending on how you unzipped it.

Ive got a question to add in:

Where would I go if I wanted to just upload the present players, and then draft them to make my own fantasy team?

I prefer the "Quickstart" method, because it doens't force you to copy the folder back to saved_games every time you want to start a new league

Instead of copying it to saved_games, copy the folder to quickstart_games. Rename the folder extension from .lg to .quick. Start the game, select "Quickstart Game", select the Cubby quickstart, rename the league and start.
