Just a thought I'm saying you or somebody else has to do it but maybe it could be a Feature in the Future along with Edit Standings and also different site each year for the All-Star Game like in real life this also goes for NHL Eastside Hockey Manager so it can also be posted on the Sigames forums in General Discussion for NHL Eastside Hockey Manager.
Yeah it'd have to be a future addition because as of now I can't edit stats or standings.

Does it include the real Coaches.dat file that was made or is it still the fake one?
I would wait intill one comes out that is up to date as of today or just Download Cubbys or somebody else for 2006 and you will be fine if your are wanting Opening Day Rosters.

It includes all the real MLB coaches (and some free agent ones).

Thanks!
I'm not sure why its hard to get an answer to this question (I'm new to the game so I've been trying to figure this out also). From what I've gathered you can download the most up to date roster list from the link in Cubby's signature on his posts. Once its downloaded and upzipped you just have to drag the entire folder over into the "saved games" folder that is inside of the OOTPB folder. Then you can just start a game with it by "loading a saved game". You'll see the Cubby/Rolen name in the saved game list.

I'm going to actually try to start playing with it tonight so if this doesn't work don't sue me.

What I"m not sure about is when Cubby mentions updating the roster set some more. Once its updated do we need to simply redownload the entire file and install it again (basically starting all over with the new data) or is it a patch thats applied to the original download that simply updates the data you already downloaded and installed into the game.

By the way, I can't BELIEVE the incredible amount of work and effort that has gone into this roster set. It is truly remarkable!

Unhappy No ratings?

Is anyone else having problems with none of the players having ratings? I imported the roster list just fine but there are no ratings for any of the categories for any player. I've checked while actually playing a game on the field and while on an offday during the week. Nothing there at all just dashes. I tried to get my scouts ratings and everyone just has a 20 for everything? Am I missing something here?

It means no one has been scouted yet. I haven't touched scouts at all so I have no idea how that end is working, but I know you have to run a quick scout by SISA or whatever if you turn on scouting.

Another question. Is there any way to take control of a major league club in this roster set? I want to manage the Indians or D-Backs but when I create a manager I can't select the team. I can also only find minor league positions in the available jobs. Is there any possible way to control any team? I spent hours trying to figure it you so SOME HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

On the "Add General Manager" screen there's a drop-down box where all teams should be available.

Is there a way to delete the lower minors so I can play the game with just MLB and AAA?
Thanks

I haven't tried the new rosters yet but I had a question. When you send your scouts out to scout ppl in other countries are you guys getting reports back saying a guy with a 22 value should be signed. I can't seem to get them to find anyone rated higher then 25. My scouts are very good so I don't know why its happening. This was using the last set of rosters so maybe it is fixed. thanks

Is anyone else having a problem not being able to see their full roster on the "Roster" screen or the 'Lineup" screen?

When setting my lineups my backups arent listed on top like usual....and when i go to check my entire orginazation only 27 players are found.

Towards the top of the screen will be a pull down menu. Make sure it says "All Players" or "All postitions". I don't remember which right off but yours might be set to something else.

Dola. I've been digging into this release with both hands Cubby and it truly is excellent.

I even debated on starting my serious dynasty league with it. I know you still have AA and below to retweak but do you think they'll have a huge impact over time? In most organisations there are only a few impact players per team and those may even have talent boosts/hits before they reach the majors.

I know you said you weren't planning on tweaking the scrubs left much but do you think the impact guys are way off? Just looking for some insight.

Thanks again man, I owe you a beer for sure.

question

I am having trouble downloading the release. I click to download and then i get a page that says "downloading..." and nothing happens. No one else seems to have any problems, so I guess it is my computer. Any tips or advise on what I should do?

Thanks.

nice job!

Love the set, now I just wish the AI would be improved. I just started a fictional league with this set and was surprised to see key prospects like Felix Pie, Jared Weaver and Craig Hansen all released by the computer AI and available via free agency. Kinda takes away some of the realism

There are always going to be problems with custom roster sets because the game doesn't construct their rosters the same way their real life couterpart does. The major prospects are getting released typically because the game doesn't think they should be on the 40-man roster yet (since they are minor leaguers who havn't accumulated enough time to be rule 5 eligible). So, they try to take them off and put someone they think should be there on and those guys get grabbed by other teams. Now, there is a bit of an AI breakdown there, but one that I can imagine is hard to determine how to fix without breaking the logic for every other situation involving 40-man roster changes.
