you can usually find alot of info on assistant coaches as well... and ADs would make good GMs if you are ambitious enough to take that on too

Plus, feel free to PM me when you get around to getting the Italian league more detailed, right positions and stuff like that. because my brother plays for Godo

cool... great if you just could export the italian rosters and edit them a little bit - positioning should be correct (but not for the serie a/2-FAs actually), but rerating would be necessary - just do not enhance the best players, since they are in line with all the other leagues ... or should be, at least.

UPDATE FOR THE FINAL VERSION:
already done:
- bug correction: pitcher-arsenals corrected, double players removed, some positions corrected, wrongly assigned player histories corrected, all Major Leaguers now with accurate history data
- MLB/affiliated ball-enhancement: correct assignments as of opening day, correct salaries, corrected birth dates/nationalities for many players, removed all fictional players from lower minors (from cubby set) and substituted them with real players from 2005-ss and rookie-teams, rerating of some underrated MLB-players (to keep them in line with other league-strengths), major injuries included
- history: many new historic players imported
- NCAA: all coaches rerated, head coaches with accurate names, original 2006-rosters for top40-teams

still to go:
- accurate player contracts (MLB-level)
- more historical players (all top100-leaderboards should be correct), more FAs (all MLB-players of the last decade should be included)
- complete stats-based reratings of LMB, SNB, Independent Leagues, and, if possible (data availability issue), Japan, Taiwan, Korea
- original rosters for top100-college-teams, rerating of the top college prospects (at least for the top100-draft-picks from college)

one more week or so and the final set is there...
any feedback, especially concerning league comparisons, from the current beta-set???

Why are all the teams so poor? No trading, no FA signing etc...

Maybe you could asked the guy who updated his to today meaning MLB/Minor League Rosters if you can have it to put it in your Rosters?

Man you have made your point on this question. Everyone knows you want an up to date set, but he has listed that that is not what he is doing, just like the set Cubby put out and the one that I put out. Opening Day is what has been done. If you want a current roster set do it, but stop telling/asking everyone else to.

I am sure that people will look at updating it once the season is over but during the season it just doesn't work that well. You start the 2006 season with the players on the teams they started the season on or else you really aren't seeing what would happen for 2006 in my opinion.

You're absolutely right, Erich - it won't matter anyway, since the AI starts making vast changes right from day 1. To put the MLB-rosters up-to-date is a completely wasted effort in my opinion (and its even more absurd for Indy Leagues, for example...)
I redid the assignments for MLB based on the opening day rosters, but in fact they are pre-spring-training. Its the best option, since including all changes until today would also take a lot of effort for Indy league rosters as well, and especially NCAA, because then I would have to take all the drafted players off their schools (NCAA will have original 2006-rosters in the final version). No way to do that.

Hey Jope, any chance you'll switch out Cubby's MLB file for Erich's? since it's actually got more players rated right?

will give that a look - I have had included the lower minors by myself, but haven't done any rerating yet, so its probably a necessary step.

well if you do end up switching to erich's rosters please let me know, because otherwise I am going to be working on doing this same kind of thing myself. because I prefer erich's set over cubby's

If I wanted updated Rosters I would do them myself but it takes to long and change the start date in the saved game to end of the regular season!
The moves the teams are making are minor like placing people on the Injured List,Calling somebody up,activating somebody,Claming somebody off Waviers like the Tigers got Matt Stairs,Releasing people,so on and Signing Minor League Extensions with their Minor League teams,Minor League teams gettting purchased by another team and if don't may look for a new home for that team that's not a option yet in the game and it should be!

I've looked through the ratings and Erichs post - seems like he is planning to redo some of the ratings and then release a new set (the main difference now is a different aging/development speed, which is too weak in Cubbys and, at least in my opinion, too strong in Erichs). I guess I am going to integrate this when its ready, since its a lot of work.
For the final release of my set now (planned for Friday or Saturday) I am just planning to do global editing, aka minimal standards for the league levels of affiliated ball, so that the assignments are corresponding with the ratings. The prospects are pretty well done in Cubbys set as far as I looked through, so perhaps I am going to adjust the ratings manually for those on the stats-leaderboards. This should work well (at least until Erichs final set is out) - but of course I am going to test it before the release.

I simply did not adjust the team financials for affiliated ball in the beta version (you can easily do that yourself in the league setup-options). In the final set all the major league player contracts will be there, and based on that I am going to assign team financials, then this should work out.

Are you still working on this. I am really looking for this kind of setup, in which I would like to incorporate the roster I have with my own "adjustments" that I have done to Erich's rosters. I am wondering specifically about the bugs you mentioned in the Beta release.

I am still working on this - am almost through and hope to release it today... I am in the third year of testing and I dont want to release it before Ive finished at least five years with satisfying results, but at the moment it looks quite promising.
The bugs in the BETA version were numerous, I'll put a README in the release where I'll name them. I've done a lot on some of the modifiers, the financial settings work right now, the last thing I am not sure are my aging/developing-settings.
