help! Just downloaded game..

Help please, i just downloaded the game and i downloaded Rolens opening day roster file..

I then did what i read in my searches of the forums and such..i extracted the zip file into the saved game file and then saved it in a new folder under the saved game file..

however, whenever i try to load the game, it never works..it says.."the loading of the database failed, it is either corrupt or a save-game from an old version.."

then i tried the quick-start way, and it loads the roster, but then it goes to a blank screen with just the games backround and all i can do is go back to the main menu and start a new game...

HELP ME PLEASE i really want to play the game..

When you unziped Rolen's roster zip file did it make a folder that ended in .lg? It should have. All you need to do is copy that .lg folder straight into your saved_games folder. Then boot up the game and go to Load Game.

Likely because when you unzipped the files you didn't select "use original path" from your options selection.

If you unzipped it correctly, it should unzip it into a folder named Rolen17OpeningDay.lg. I bet it's not perserving file structure so it's just giving you a ton of files which would make sense why OOTP gives you errors. Check your zip settings.

EDIT: I see Steve Kuffrey just posted before me and may have the exact answer.
