CubbyFan '07 Rosters Underway... Need Help! - Page 2

Maybe I am missing something, but when you begin the year with these rosters, I cannot seem to sign any of the available free agents. They appear on the html page, but do not appear pn the transactions page... Can anyone help??

Sorry... a little complementary college pancakes and strawberries down at the rec distracted me from finishing already... at least there's one plus to finals week, free food!

I'm still going to have it up tonight, just have to finish the personel for about 10 more teams.

Sorry guys, I suck at meeting deadlines.

This free agent rerating is taking much longer than I thought. So I'm going to try and have it up ASAP, but it might take a few days in between studying for finals. I have to re-rate all the current offseason free agents, so it's a bit of a process.

Much easier on adderol (sp) though in between studying.

Just some notes for those interested, I'm basing current ratings off last season pretty much unless it seemed like it was a career year bigtime, in which case I based it on the career average. This will mean some ratings are a bit skewed as obviously some guys (Freddy Sanchez, etc.) can't be counted on to repeat THAT big of a season. Once the PECOTA ratings are released by BaseballProspectus, I'll re-rate with those.

Still, it is leading to the teams looking pretty dead on with regards to lineups, rotations, bullpen spots, etc.

It's looking pretty good guys!

OKAY.

Free Agents are re-rated. I am updating the set with the minor league transactions that have happened (not many) and the few ML deals that have been signed since I updated the set a few days ago and then it's up.

Thanks for the info! I guess I need to decide what year I want to start my historical league in until whoever is making this new set of rosters gets them released.

There's always a chance...good chance though? ehh I have no clue. I wish whoever is creating these would come out of hiding and give us some info on the magic they are creating. And an estimated timeline would make me one happy boy...along with a bunch more people I'm guessing.

Yeah but you know how things can get around here. The minute those making this set mention it, the thread will become over loaded with the usual :When's this gonna be released" posts and people flaming them if a set isnt out reasonably quick.

Exactly the person that is making them has a wife, 3 kids and a very stressful job.

Plus dont even forget it's going to be impossible to have an accurate 2007 roster for about another 2 weeks anyways. Because there will be lots of minor league transactions as ST ends.

But that said, you have my personal promise there will not be a repeat of last Years wait

Yea I completely understand. I know how things can get around here when news like that breaks. Pretty overwhelming for someone who I'm sure is already overwhelmed with this massive roster. I'm really looking forward to it and thank whoever it is working on it!

I had no idea that a release wasn't coming on release day. I'm uploading the version I was giving out to beta testers (that is incomplete -- I abandoned it because the other one is WAY more complete and well done than I had time to do with a new job). However, it is pretty comprehensive and enough to whet your appetites.

Are the other rosters being released on Sunday? These are giving me problems since I updated from beta to the final release, and it's going to take a while to fix the issues I think. I will if there isn't a release soon, but if it's just going to be a few days I'll wait for the other set.
