OK, I had a messed up file that I didn't test well with V1 but I have uploaded V2 and it is working perfectly now. I just simmed through two seasons now without problem.

If you are already using V1 and you want to keep going rather than starting over you can try to get it to work by doing:

1 - regenerate schedules for every league MLB + minors
2 - turn on ghost players

Those two things should allow you to get through the season without any errors.

As I try an figure out how to regenerate schedules and turn on ghost players, could you provide a little guidance?

I'm sure I'll find it but for others tracking this down...

Hey BP,

I didnt have a chance to look at the orginal files, so I got home and dled your new version.

After you setup the league the game tell you that you need to create/edit a manager as normal. After you select OK, there is no data....

Not sure what happened on this version.

Must have been a corrupt download. Re-downloaded and looks good so far.

Game setup -> League Setup -> Options -> click allow incomplete minor league rosters

Game setup -> League setup -> Edit League Schedule button -> then either click generate fictional sched for each league or click schedule -> import from file and find the matching league names. You might run into a few issues here where you need to uncheck the balanced schedule option for the options tab but if you are ok with fictional schedules it won't be any biggie. Hope that helps.

They aren't added into the quickstart by the game unfortunately. Just download the Bogart stadium pack from www.ootpmodsquad.com and extract to your stadium folder. That will do the trick.

Does spring training games not start until the next season? I don't see a spring training schedule.

..and bp has that option turned "on".

As I mentioned in the PM to you (posting here in case others have problems) - this might be an issue with the schedule again or because I imported a 2006 league to create the world template used to create this QS. That caused a number of scheduling issues. It is possible ST will just work starting in 2008 or you may have to re-import the schedule in the offseason or Jan 1, 08. I will try to run a test sim tonight to find out what happens.

Per my PM, I'm thinking it will start next season, but any test results you might have would be great!

Just tested and spring training was on the calendar when I simmed to 1/1/08. So, looks like it is just that first season without ST.

Is the version 2.0 on the padresfanmods site? I am not able to download from OOTP Mod Squad site due to the .rar file extension. Stupid work and their "security" measures.

I have been having many of the above mentioned problems with this quick start, hopefully 2.0 fixes them all. Thanks for your work bp_!!

I have downloaded verson 2 and am still having the same problem I have with 1. In the second year (and possibly more) the schedules for single A California League and single A Florida state league do not populate. So for that year (and possible future years) no one in those two leagues play games. I have tried to regen the schedule during the preseason, but when I do that it changes the season start date to sept and screws up the whole thing.

I think the schedules actually start in June in those two leagues - like short season. Check the schedule calendar and let me know. I really don't know why it ended up like that.
