Grrrrrrr

Where is that ? I spent about 45 minutes just looking for it on this step, and then said screw it, it must be off. I did everything else, and wallah ... January 2nd & it's time for the inaug. draft.

Check page 115 of the manual (Section 3.4.9.1). The manual will be your friend. It's a checkbox on the Options page in League Setup.

damn i cant find that anywhere. Cant even find the 'Team Rosters/Draft' part on the Options screen. What year do we tell it start with? 2006 or 2007? i dont know if that makes a difference. Hmm changed the starting year to 2006 and still no option for a inaugural draft. Dang

If you've already created the game I don't think you have that option. You have to do it before you create the game.

I don't know why but I'm finding a lot of the starting pitchers have only a fastball. I have no clue why.

not right...

I must not be doing something right...my ratings after importing rosters into Icy's template are all jacked up...I followed it step by step and all the players are named correctly...just rated incorrectly.

I followed all the steps and it seemed to work correctly, however every player in the league either has a minor league contract or a major league contract for 0 years and $0.

?

contracts...

My contracts are screwy as well....but that I could live with...just not sure why the ratings converted the way they did...

Also, when I load Cubby's lg file, it has the real pictures for most players...however, I started an expansion draft and was looking at some of the players and now they have facegen faces...I'm sure I probably just have to turn it off somewhere...

I didn't notice the contract thing because I think I did an inaugural draft which afterwards signs fictional contracts to everyone. You could go under the league setup and assign fictional contracts to everyone.

Yes I know what you're talking about. I remember that happening to me a lot before I finally got it right. I can't remember off hand which step it was that makes sure you have correct ratings. Did you make sure to not release any of the fictional guys until you imported all the real rosters? Check out this thread, especially post #4 when I figure out the solution...

Maybe it would be easier for me to just release this Quickstart out there. I have permission from Icy, but if someone can find CubbyFan I just need his permission and then I can throw it to one of the mod sites.

I spent a good hour looking for it as well. What you have to do is before you start the league, on the left hand side you actually have to physically click on the Major League Baseball league, and then it will populate all the options on the right hand side for that league, then, go to options and it's on the very top. I agree 100% that it's confusing.

Cubby put up an apology thread...that doesn't grant permission. A quick start somewhere would be nice.
