Do Cubby's rosters crash your game?

Once actual gameplay starts, the game crashes. It seems like some kind of stat overload as once the in-game begins, teams score hundreds of runs per game and the game crashes. This make sense?

I think there is an issue with that roster set....if I remember correctly...you have to change the BB in the league totals to 16000. That will fix the insane scores and subsequent crashes.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I spent hours, editing things the way I wanted them, and simming to opening day, then it crashed.
I really do appreciate the work he, (and all the others), put in tho, and I like his roster set. Right now I'm using a fictional league, I got from the Padresfan website, while waiting for a real roster set.
If I had a little more knowledge I would offer to help with editing, I have taken someone elses work and cleaned it up a bit using in game editing. However I struggle with the database programs, so I have nothing but respect for those that create these programs.

I was so frustrated last week that I posted a slam on the game for crashing all the time. I realized after having taken a week off to calm down and taking the time to read the posts here that it wasn't the games fault at all. After tweaking the BB the game worked like a charm and I haven't crashed yet. My team still sucks, but at least the game works now! I appologize to the "Creation Team" for the harshness.

That entire roster is screwed up. The financials, the crashes, everything. After pulling my hair out for days trying to get it work properly,I gave up,deleted it,and started a fictional league.

Sorry....I've had limited to nill internet this week

To get to league totals go to the drop down for:

Game > Game Setup; select the tab League Setup, select the tab Strategy.

When you are viewing the Strategy screen scroll to the bottom. Below the Creation Modifiers you will notice the section called League Totals. Click in the box next to Base on Balls and put in 16000. This should fix the problem with the insane scores and wildness.

As Queensrche mentions...there may be more problems with this roster set. I have yet to use it in OOTP 2007 so I do not know.

I believe when you import a game the first season there is no spring training. When you complete that season and start the next one you'll get a spring training.

That would be my guess....the roster set imports in at Opening Day which at that point you can't edit in Spring Training. I believe you can only edit the check box for schedule spring training during the offseason. Sounds like you'd have to wait until next season.

I've now played through one full year with Cubby's beta rosters and I'm getting CTDs every few hours.

It's frustrating - except when one happened right after I lost my CF for 8 months.
