I might not be understanding what you're saying, but I'm saying I want to create a HS feeder league for the bigs in addition to using this college feeder league for the bigs. So it wouldn't be a problem that feeder leagues have to feed big-league leagues and stay that way.

What he's saying is, that he couldn't take my V1 template (the one with 294 teams) and attach it to a league, or take the latest file I've provided, grab the latest updated rosters and delete the existing setup and attach my college templates to a updated rosters without retyping everything

Gotcha. About that, though:

Does the new version have CSV import functionality? I'd think you'd be able to just set up Icy's league as is, start it up, release all and delete all the (fictional) players, then import rosters from .csv.

I've updated the file with most of the small changes you mentioned Prodigal. How does it play so far?

Perhaps someone has done this, or can help.

I want to do the following --

1. Setup a universe using the Foz V2 template.

2. Include real players from Gabon or Lahman's databases -- more for drafting purposes.

I can't seem to figure this out. If I pick a starting year of 1960 it doesn't recognize any of the drafting etc. -- in fact all the "jump to" dates are 2007, so maybe this is just how the template is setup.

Anyone know a way around this? I would really love to use the collegiate players with the true historical guys.

Great. I haven't actually taken charge of an NCAA team yet, but as a feeder league it seems to be working very well. It's also cool to have all of the conferences and logos when I navigate the league for the hell of it. I'm coaching at the HS level right now, but may get promoted later to the NCAA league, in which case I could have more input. I'm making a slow climb with a strict set of house rules regarding promotion (at least three seasons with one team before being eligible for promotion, the last two of which must have been over .500, with the year before promotion requiring a placement in the top 1/3 of the league). If I ever get to MLB with these rules, I'll also let you know my experiences with scouting the NCAA!

BTW, I just found out Puckett Guy has done an EXCELLENT set of logos for use with the college template, and not only that but made a # of suggestions to fixes that I need to make (oops) I will try to update the file this weekend.

Nice job on the template.

I have been working on a set of college logos for quite awhile now, only up to "S" as of yet. Don't have a zip of them because I am not finished.....but you can check them out here.

Thanks for the compliment on the logos, it was all work and no talent. Truthserum's logos are much better, but probably would not work as well for caps and jerseys.

I am not sure if my use of your template caused this or if it's a minor correction that you need to make to it. When I have created a new game using your template, the newly created college players already have individual stats for 4 games played in 2007 even though I have not yet simmed/played any games. It's easy enough to erase that history (if I am remember to do so), but you might wish to check your template and see if those 4 games played need to be erased from it. Love the template by the way, great job on it.
