Quick question: Where does OOTP store FaceGen data?
As I seem to experiencing a hang-up when the game gets to where its loading the faces, I'd like to be able to just go in and nuke the facegen images that have been generated so the game can load.
Unfortunately, I have no clue where the files are located!

I believe the file is faces.dat, found in the main directory for your saved game. Not sure of this, but since I had a similar problem to you and seem to have fixed it, I thought I'd offer my experience.
I occasionally get the "won't load" hangup that is clearly directly related to facegen problems, since I get to 93% loaded for my saved game, it starts loading faces, and then it stops. The most recent time this happened, I checked my hard drive, and faces.dat was 0kb. I copied over the face.dat from my most recent backup, and everything worked fine, with all faces intact. |

Yes, I have the facial hair additions that were recently posted. But I had the same problem earlier, before I'd done any modifying to facegen. Not frequently ... just often enough that I'm glad I make frequent backups :-).

No add-ons here, and like masoo, I was hitting 93% and locking. It proved quite irritating.
