I don't have a problem with him soliciting moulah for his work. That's his perogative. If people want it bad enough, they'll pay. I can see where you might be floored by this development, but payware is not a new concept in this world, although it is to this game. Ever play flight simulator? They have big time payware planes and such you can download. Relax, someone will be out with a roster set soon, and when that does happen, you probably won't even giv threads like this a second thought. .....phew! thank god I am a fictional player! ![]()

This really is a joke
Let's see how the world works...
I ask my neighbor if "I can borrow his 40' ladder on Saturday morning so I can trim some trees"; he says "Sure; I won't be home, but will leave it out by the garage"; First thing Saturday, no ladder. I see him Sunday evening and he says "Sorry, I had to go on a business trip... but will leave it, for sure, next Saturday; just outside the garage" Next Saturday, I get up early to get those trees trimmed and... no ladder. When I see my neighbor again on Sunday, he says "Sorry, but the ladder is actually Earl's. I need to get it back to him and I'm sure he will let you borrow it next Saturday". Weeks go by, but my neighbor doesn't return the ladder, doesn't return my calls, and my trees are going wild. I'm a little miffed - and mention my miffness at a neighborhood BBQ... and get my bones jumped by some other neigbors: "You should be more respectful of ladder owners", You don't know how hard it is to maintain a ladder", "Your neighbor has family problems - and all you care about is your darn trees", "Didn't you know he is in the hospital?"... "Over a ladder?"... "Oh, you are so insensitive?" In the meantime, no one can find Earl, the ladder, or anyone else with a ladder. And those ever-so-tolerant BBQ neighbors are telling me "shut up... there are more important things than ladders (true)... and go out and buy your own ladder" Then, out of the blue, my neighbor turns up, says his feelings are hurt - "the joy of ladder loaning is gone... forever!" - but offers to rent me the (Earl's) ladder. I'm sorry, but there is a name for neighbors like this |

I'm glad your priorities are straight and even more glad to hear that you're feeling better. But my advice is to not take what the handful of people say as your motivation and instead take the horde (sp?) of people who - again - care about you and respect your work. Just my 2 cents, please take it for what it's worth. |

I'm happy to see you are getting back to being healthy AP. No matter what anyone thinks of you health is important and it is nice to see you back together in some way, shape or form.
Besides that. This is very humorous to read. It very much brings me laughter day in and day out. This board has become madness. I dearly remember the OOTP2 days when everyone was friends. |

Maybe you don't care, but just some free advice.

AP, I was one of your most vocal defenders this whole time.
No more. I'm with Sandman on this one. On top of that, if what I hear is true (that you were one of the most vocal critics of Cubby last year), then I'm truly flabbergasted. |

Of course I can get my own ladder...
... but my neighbor was kind enough to offer to loan me his, thus saving me the time and expense of buying my own, especially when he claims to get joy from having a ladder and I do not.
The moral of the story is... when you agree to do a kindness for a neighbor, then follow through with it. If things get in the way, pick up the phone and say I can't do it now or I'll do it next week or whatever. But when you jerk people around, you're not a nice neighbor |

I honestly feel the worst for Markus and the company. Although they can't say it freely, many people won't buy this game without a roster set available for download. SI isn't Microsoft, they need money to continue to develop this game, that's reality. I hope you get your gift cards for iTunes APujols, and everytime you play your MP3's you remember that your decision has hurt OOTP. Your decision has hurt many others, albeit strangers, who look forward to living out their dream to GM their favorite team. If you don't want to finish the rosters, fine, at least release them as is. You shouldn't need any motivation to do that, unless your truely a bad person and I really don't wish to believe you are. |

For the love of God people....
This entire thread was a joke as to call out the whiners and complainers that will die if they cant play with real rosters and assume they are just entitled to demand roster sets. As I've said, I have zero motivation to work on rosters, I am only concentrating on the fictional aspects of this game from now on. |
