Good God..... Roster related

Some people have absolutely no clue about the fact that real life is more important than this game.....

That Said, if there's a consensus as to what people want from a set? IE what leagues, what level of detail...

FOr a fair price I will do them even with no motivation.
I'm thinking once a fair price is negoitiated, I will make a post, a diary of sorts and let you guys in on every step of the creation.

So basically put up or shut up

You know the roster makers for like blacklover and the guy from ps2rosters have paypal accounts set up for donations. Not sure if you could sell them but you could definitely take donations and I would be the first to jump on board and donate.

Was there ever any consideration to 'releasing' what progress there is to this point to at least "tide" folks over until an official release.

actually there will be no release by me at all unless something happens because of this thread. as I stated my motivation for roster creation is gone! but my motivation to get free stuff from iTunes is alive and well.... and that will overpower the lack of motivation for roster making. So basically it's a put up or shut up type of situation for the whiners and complainers.

First off I am not one of the whiners and complainers. I just get great enjoyment from "real players." I understand fully the amount of time that goes in to this. I used to do it on some "old school games - back in the day." I also know how important "real life" is as well. Having said all that, your work IS appreciated, but I guess some of us, including myself, are going to be out-of-luck this year in regards to updated rosters.

You need to look up the word EXTORTION in the dictionary. You are very close to being a prime example of one who extorts money with a threat to withhold services until the demand is met.

Now if you were to release the set, even if it is incomplete, and then simply had a readme with an paypal reminder that you would like to take donations, then that is a different story. I for one would not pay for your roster set.

You are also close to violating the laws on copyrighted materials and trademark infringement by "selling" this roster set. The court case involving using historical and current baseball stats, with actual team and players names, has not been officially completed. MLB has filed an appeal. If you were to have any logos or photos in the set then you are truly in violation.

Roster makers freely contributed to the community in the past for the love of helping others and to show their creation to the community. Never had anyone requested payment. God can you imagine all the fictional logo makers demanding payment!!!!!
