Quick Update on Rolen's Roster Set

Hello everyone, I just wanted to give everybody a quick update on where we stand with Rolen's roster file. I accepted the job of manually editing all of the transactions from opening day 2006, basically to get each team's correct opening day roster. As of 4:00 PM EST I have finished and correctly updated each team's opening day 25 man roster as shown on MLB.com. I will be taking a short break when I get home (dinner)

and I will then dive into each team's minor league systems (after I talk with Rolen). Currently, the contracts still need updated but getting the correct 25 man rosters for each team is a start. I will be plugging away at this throughout the weekend. I do not like to list ETAs or anything like that because this is still Rolen's set, he controls when they get released. But I felt with all the bad posts and bickering going on, people wouldn't mind a little bit of positive news.

The LAST thing we need right now is discussion on the ratings in the set! Just let them finish the ()@#$ thing!

Actually I was a member of the vast majority that did not turn, but whatever...
(A few people with multiple logins were causing the problems, for the most part)

The impatience that people have about these roster sets is understandable at first -- they want something and so they just ask for it...over, and over again.

But many of these people don't seem to have a clue about the following:
1. A good roster set takes an IMMENSE amount of work to complete.
2. Roster makers are generally working and donating their efforts for FREE.
3. No one is ENTITLED to these rosters and mods.
3. Pestering these good people for ETA's and previews, etc. is actually discouraging them (look what it did to APujols5)

If I were a roster maker, I think I would go completely into hiding to avoid all the pressure from people who expect something that they really have no right to expect.

I just want to see this thing done more than anyone else. Keep in mind, this is still Rolen's set. He has final say in any release of anything.

Is anyone savy in editing rosters in a csv format? If so, contact me on AOL ISLTwins, could put you to work

Also I am waiting on Rolen to get online right now to continue on, but right now I am beginning work on updating the contracts of these players

One bit of information I need from the community is can anyone find a current listing of players that are currently on the DL? That would be an awesome help.
