A Personal Thank You & Update

Ok fellas, first off I want to thank everyone that offered a hand at the tedious task of placing all these current players on their correct team. In the end it took me a little over a week to complete this task but I have just (as of 12:01 PM EST) finished correctly putting 3868 total players on their correct teams. I have forwarded the spread sheet on to Erich for him to complete this project.

Shouldn't be much longer now

Thanks all again. This was a major hurdle we are now past.

Thank you for taking time out of your life and helping to create the roster set. We all appreciate your hard work and we can't wait for this thing to be released. You better not release it between the 26th-30th of this month as I will be out town without the computer.

A huge thank you from me, I think all you mods should get a share of the profit because I wouldn't buy the game if it wasn't for you. I like the Real players and teams and you guys save Mark alot of $$$ by not having to purchase the expensive licenses.

Yep, received the file from jackflash today, but for some reason all the names are in chinese.......ok only kidding there.

I should have some time to take the data he has worked so diligently on, with some help from Gary, and get it back into the game, finish moving around some guys, add in the draft picks from last year and have something out. Still a bit of a task left for me to do, but I think we are almost there for the first release, no thanks to Baseball America for not putting the Opening Day rosters on their site this year. First file will not come with the colleges or any foreign leagues

Here is what is expected from the first release. Players in the correct organization and expected to be at the right level from opening day. All career stats for the players for US major and minor leagues(well probably 98%).

Items to be added still salaries and real coaches are not there yet, but will be added. I can release early without the salaries and then re-release with the salaries and that will probably save a couple of days for the initial version.

Also still need to go in and update the service time. I know that a couple of people had been working on that and if they still are please contact me.

Will continue to give you more information as it comes available.

Erich, I'm only speaking for myself here but I can wait a few extra days for a complete roster set including salaries. Now get back to work!!!

I obviously don't speak for any majority or whatever, but I could most definitely wait the extra time that it would take for salary/service time/etc. to be put in before the download is released. But whatever you decide is fine with me! I will download the total version whenever it's released.

You guys that do this stuff are absolutely incredible, I just can't thank you enough for what you do.

Thanks again for everyone's hard work. I would rather you release the great roster set without the extras and then release a second version with salaries/coaches/etc. That way, the community can decide what version they wish to use.

I'm sure there's people out there who have shelved the game until a 2007 roster set is available.

This way, they can start a league with players they recognize to get a feel for the game and then have a more serious league after the second release. My 2 cents.

I agree with Capital. Would love to see a first version released. I have not touched the game in two weeks. Waiting for 2007 rosters. I just can't get in to the fictional world.

i agree with him...some ppl might like the first verison better even tho..its only minor things...but i am another..i havent touched the game in quite a few weeks...i just cant get into fictional players
