You know what is sad is that an incident like this cause credibility problems for all roster makers. that is why everyone is always so doubtful, myself GREATLY included!

As someone who was "fairly" vocal about his work on the Erichs set - he sent me a couple PMs explaining hisself to me.

He said that he did what he did because he had received several death threats, and other disturbing messages to his E-Mail, and that his wife had read them - and was very frightened and upset.

That myspace guy claims to be single - so it must not be him.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. I just did a little reading; and it seems pretty obvious that it is him.

Could someone please bring me up to date on the whole roster fiasco?

I have 2 questions:
1. Did APujols5 turn out to be a fraud?
2. Are there any cedible 2007 roster sets available, or nearly available, yet?

Yes it is a shame. It's going to cast suspicion on all the roster makers IMHO. Have one real emergency that delays the release of your rosters and most people will cry BS. It's not fair to guys like Erich who truly have had an emergency happen.

I think future roster makers should shy away from announcing anything until they are done with their rosters and they are ready for download. Darkcloud4579's rosters, while not 100% complete are appreciated and I'm sure they'll get nothing but better with everyone's help. He also had the right idea, announce the day they're ready. C'mon bigtay, we're pulling for ya to get your rosters out too. Don't pull an AP on us.

It is sad that someone would do something like that; not that it is surprising that he turned out to be a fraud - let's face it: It is very rare for someone to have so many bad things happen to them in life all at the same time.

Internet connections do go out during storms, but it's not exactly a common situation unless a tornado ripped through your neighborhood. Pretty much, if your power stays on, your internet connection should stay on. They don't build their networks with only sunny days in mind.

Add on top of that a trip to the hospital and whatever else that guy came up with, and you just knew he was a fraud. The worst part about it is why would someone even want to deceive like that? Is it funny to them? I just don't get it.

Since Saturday night is not over I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Then again, what do I know. I only have 5 posts.

While Ozzie the Pujols may not have been on the level, I do not believe that he (them) and bigtay are the same poster. Bigtay is gone because we simply don't need more people that find enjoyment in jerking others around.

To everyone who has been on this roller coaster I am sincerely sorry. While I do not participate much in the baseball portions of the forums besides the occasional 'Go Tigers' post, I can empathize with you all especially with those who do make rosters, applications, photo packs, schedules, et cetera. This situation has put some of them in an awkward spot as it has become more difficult to openly post about projects that they are working on.

Moving forward, I hope that you all will give every benefit of the doubt to mod makers, which it seems that you are all willing to do anyway. A big thank you to those who have continued despite the nonsense as well. Also, to those entertaining notions of jerking people around for your own pleasure - when it becomes clear that is what you are doing, you will not be dealt with kindly by the moderators.

edit - If I have horribly misjudged bigtay, I am sure that he'll be back as an alias. PM me that you actually do have a roster set to upload and I will profusely and publicly apologize to you and see to it that you are re-instated. However, given the situation that we have had, his disdain for APujols, the content of his OP, the passing of Saturday night and the silence since then; I firmly believe that he is just jerking you folks around.
