Another missing player missing from the missing player list

Lafranconi never played in the majors as far as I can tell, I think the case is the same with Robb Wishnevski. They may have been on the roster but never played in a game. Then again I could be nuts.

Don Hopkins isn't on the missing player list because he has a photo...

There are alot of players who I found that where never posted that are included in the photo set. The case is the same with Erskine Thomason. Of course you guys could be finding better images anyhow...

Total Baseball lists Walt Lanfranconi as a National League pitcher. He was 0-1 with Chicago in 1941 and 4-4 with Boston in 1947.

Incidentally for anyone who is interested the answer to the question I posed in the last thread arising from the first Major League game ever played. That was hosted by Fort Wayne Kekiongas who defeted the Cleveland Forest Citys. I asked for the only team, and that just for 1 season, to represent the State that hosted that first ever game, in the 20th century. The answer was the 1914 Indianapolis Federal League team.

Bill love the colorizations, look forward to seeing more. I believe Possum was the Pirates regular third-baseman in 1920 and regular right fielder in 1921 (hint).

His Batting stats start in 1952 as he did not pitch.... he started pitching in 1955.

My bad on the Lanfranconi thing. He was already in the newest update but the pic here is much better.

How about this as a clearer pic, if you have no objections to working on him in a 1914 miracle Braves uniform. (source Bain collection). He is one prominent player from this era that for some reason Matt Fulling didn't do.

Great work with the Doc Gautreau pic.
