This set is so tantalizing as I know what a brilliant job it will be and how much hard work has gone into it, I can literally not wait till it comes out.

Same here, I'm checking the site every couple of hours to see if there is any new information. I can't wait for this set.

One other minors injury update:

Milton Loo, ss/3b, Cincinatti apparently never reported to the team this year for personal reasons, and has been placed on the restricted list. I just saw a comment on a messageboard saying Loo was homesick and had retired, but I have nothing to back that up. Maybe give him a year-long undisclosed injury.

Alright, quick update.

MLB/AAA should be done as of tonight, I only have Arizona left to do (and touch up Colorado's AAA team that I forgot about).

After that, the file goes off to hb, to correct birthdates, and then back to me for some final edits and then out.

The LONG and hard part is over, now we just have to touch it up and prep it for release.

EDIT: In addition, as far as the second release goes, I found a website listing in detail, minor league fielding stats and positions played. While most of the MLB guys have other positions accurate (and some AAA do as well), not all do, but using this, we should be able to duplicate the versatility of all of the players out there down to rookie ball.

On a side note, so FAR, the financial model seems to be working very well with the set. Regarding the big FAs in the class of 2008, Torii wants 5 years, 70M... Andruw wants 3 years, 52M, etc.

Hey Cubby,

Don't know if you got my most recent PM, but if you can forward me a copy of either the roster.csv or the players.csv from the set, I can get the info put in that I mentioned (and probably have it done by the time you get it back from hb)

If you have any further questions or need more details, PM me

P.S. I just need the csv to cross-reference player IDs, so you and hb can continue working on the main file even after you send it to me.

Alright guys -- a call for help yet again.

What we basically have left is correcting birthdates, as when our initial set was imported, it knocked some (most) of them off by a year or a few days. That's literally all we have left other than me knocking down some prospects that are too good and fixing some ratings for the real Top 30 in real life ones (I could do this in a day).

So if anyone out there has some spare time over the next day or two (or some people who can tag-team this) we need to go through using sports-wired.com, and just plug in the guy's name to the HTML, check the birthdate, and fix if needed.

I know you guys are always wanting something to help on, and while this isn't the most glamorous task, it is one we certainly need done, and honestly between doing prospects and being busy with school until Friday, I don't have time to do it. And I'd like to get this out ASAP just like you guys.

If anyone can help, please post in here or PM me.

Difficulty

Hey Cubby. Thanks for doing all the work. I just downloaded the December rosters and can't seem to get past April 2nd before the program quits. Has anyone had or heard of this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update

Sorry to change the thread, but here's the update. I tried just playing the one game on April 2nd since it crashes when I try to auto-play it and Johan Santana walked the first 24 batters before I started trying to steal home and he was finally taken out. Any have this or the previous problem with it crashing on April 2?

Your using the old, old beta rosters (Cubby should get that out of his sig), just go to league setup and change the number of walks to in thousands.

Thanks go out to Exodor and Underlined who knocked out about 10 teams already on birthdates. I should be able to finish up prospects this weekend, I believe hb told me he should be able to update transactions by Wednesday.

So we have about 20 teams to fix birthdates on between now and release, and that's all that's left to do really that we need help on, if anyone else can help, feel free to PM me.

Any chance of getting an advance copy? I am not too concerned with the few minor changes that you have left. Please PM me if possible.
