Another Attempt at Roster Mod.....

Ok it's still in it's infancy, but as of right now, MLB and minors have pretty much all the right players in place. Are they all in their right spots? Nope. Are the ratings correct? Nope.

SO What is done so far? The file is almost done being setup, meaning the MLB is in place, I imported the Japan set, I set up the US Indy leagues, as well as Mexico, Cuba, Italy and Netherlands.

Am I looking for help? Of Course. But why should you believe this will come to completion? Because if you desire to throw in some assistance, you will receive the file right away and will continue getting updates on it until I have finished what I want to finish.

So all that aside, what is left for me to do?

1) Add real College Players to the NCAA Feeder League
2) Add Real Players to the Italian League
3) Add Real Players to the Netherlands League
4) Add Real Players to the Cuban League
5) Add Real Players to the US Indy Leagues

#'s 2,3, and 5 will include unretiring some of the players already in the file from the initial Lahman import

Then,
1) Clean up Ratings
2) Clean up personal information
3) Clean up Service times
4) Add more Historical Stats
5) Add More Pics

Finally,
1) Clean up Parks
2) Clean up Jerseys and Hats
3) Clean up Colors
4) Clean up Logos

So To anyone willing to take a risk on giving me another chance? Drop a line if you wanna help with any of these things... and as soon as I finish inputting the NCAA Teams, I will get you a DL Link.
There will absolutely be a trial version with crap ratings, So I wouldn't suggest starting your leagues with this, but at least you will see that I have built the file and then you can see the differences your help can make.

3 definite specialized bits of help I will need will be,
1) A Logo Maker, will need a handful of logos and maybe a couple cleaned up
2) A Jersey Maker, will need some foreign and Indy Uni's made
3) A Schedule Maker, will need some specialized schedules like NCAA and Foreign leagues that mostly play on the weekends

I should have also mentioned, I have a completely new financial system that I have been testing for the last couple weeks that seems to be pretty dead on so that the teams that spend in real life have been spending in my sims too.

Also,
I should have mentioned, a few things that I would love to include in the rosters but will be struggling to include.
1) Korea
2) Taiwan
3) Italy, the A2 Series

These leagues I really need some help from someone with knowledge of these languages to help me find the information that I have been having issues with.

Not to be a jerk or anything but is this your file you've done from scratch or is this basically the leftovers from what you had with Rolen's file?

Erich gave me a base but I will eventually be re rating every single player. I have been running some sims trying to come up with some better ratings formulas. but I haven't found any one idea that is as close to perfect as I'd like. That's why I won't be rating the players til towards the end. First I need to make sure all the players are in the game with their correct personal information if that makes any sense? I have about 15+ leagues with either no players currently or mostly fictional players that need to be worked through before I come to the point that ratings for the final release are really that important.

For everybody who got a problem with APujols5 going at another set, remember last year we put out the first accurate world template, and you all loved it, so don't try to act like this is all a bunch of talk. We have put out a set before and the game couldn't handle it, but now it can. So lets get to work and stop wining, thanks.

Yeah, I would have a problem considering all the crap Apujols5 put everyone through his first time through as roster maker. What makes you think this time it'll be any different? It's because of his lies that all roster makers are now treated so harshly. You think these are the files he claimed he deleted last time around? Do you think people are so desperate for 2007 rosters that they would believe him this time? I'll wait for Cubby's rosters thank you.

Just a note to let everyone know that this thread and the discussions therein will be watched very closely. If we find that things are getting out of hand, we will take appropriate and most likely severe action.

Please understand you brought any negativism and bad feelings with your past behavior, Jason, and for what it is worth you are reaping what you sowed. This doesn't mean by any means it is open season on his efforts to create another roster mod.

I don't think privately holding this roster set to those who "will only help" is the right thing; especially when the base of this is Rolen's set. I just don't see it very ethical.

On a side note, if you want players on their correct teams, I do have the completed CSV file I gave to rolen back in April that had every player in their correct spots as of opening day.
