1986 MLB quickstart

hi everyone,

i just finished up a 1986 MLB quickstart. It features a full complement of minors (all levels + 2 winter leagues), personnel, and stadiums. It is a "hybrid" league in that it uses fictional players to round out the multitude of minor league teams. I used Gambo's db for this, so players are imported when they made their pro debut. ive tested it out, it works runs pretty well. i included a readme file that has all the important information and instructions.

if anyone is interested in hosting this, let me know.

I will host it

I've still got a little work to get done in setting up the 'Pages' of the Site, but I am doing a Saga of Heroes - The Schilling Years (Curt Schilling) where I will be playing from 1986 - 2007 or 2008 and see how the Digital Schilling compares to the Real Schilling.

Webstie url will be http://sagaofheroes.info/files/.extention.

unfortunately, i dont think i have much to offer cause the quickstart i created was corrupted and the only working version i have at this point is my .lg file that has progressed into april. ive searched pretty much all my files and backup cd's and cant find any back up .lg files

so unless someone wants to play around with the aforementioned in-progress file, i dont have much to offer. which is a shame, cause i put in a decent amount of time in setting this thing up...

That's a sad tale and one that illustrates the importance of backing up your leagues.

i did, actually, and thats what really annoying me. i dumped a bunch of files on cdr's cause i was getting a bit tight on HD space. maybe i need to go through the cdr's again and see if i missed it. 'cause of course i found the most trivial stuff, everything it seems except what i need right now.

If you keep a Sharpie permanent marker by your computer then when you burn CD's you can write on each CD just what you've burned on it. This has helped me out a lot.
