I can confirm that the scouting crash when taking over a team is gone. Thanks very much for this roster set. You took the great set that Cubby & his team did and improved it. Great job!

First kudos to NomarHits400 for all your hard work. The set looks really great. Now the problem. I downloaded the second version and for some reason seem to be having the same crash. It's once the game tries to scout after adding a human manager. I've tried to manage several different team in several different leagues and had the same result. I'm stumped, especially since the new version seems to work for everyone else. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Nomar, Hard a peek at what you did. Nice job!! My only thing is US Indy leagues would have probably been more useful than the winter leagues since they don't even work right.

Nomar looks great, ran out a couple of years stats look great.

Question I have, if I change the names of the High School teams will I get a problem with ghost teams.

Would like to make the HS teams on for each state like an AAU team of HS all stars.

I think you can export the teams to a csv format. Then edit them and reimport and get around the Ghost team problem. But I am not 100% sure i am right on that. YOu might want to check that for sure.

Nomar, another question for you. When you added Murmur's set, did you consolidate the history? I ask because it's something I have to do still and so I wondered how hard it was? If you didn't and don't know what I mean, Guys like Ichiro that have played in both Japan and the US will have two stat histories under 2 different player IDs. One for Japan and one for the US, So my idea was to try and come up with a list of every player, Japan or US born that has played in both leagues and go through and merge the stat histories and then delete the player ID that no longer has a stat line. That way there won't be two Ichiro's, and so on.

No shouldn't be a problem...Are you planning on changing them inside the game? That should work fine.

One thing I noticed guys is coaches got screwed up in the last release...And man was that ever a pain to get corrected. I believe I have caught them all now- I didn't think I was going to be able to fix it until inspiration hit late this afternoon.

I have an idea or two know about fixing positional history leaders as well- so I am going to try and tackle that quickly before heading off to bed. I am still working things out- but would like to have a version I am happy with by month's end- and will plan on another release in the next day or two.

Well, here's an interesting problem that I had to find a work around for. This probably applies to the original Cubby rosters too as this one is based on that one....

When I got this latest roster set, I went in and started a Yankee franchise. I'm into July with this team, and having no problems.

As is typical of my playing style, I decided I wanted to run a Diamondbacks team as well, but I didn't want to have 2 GMs in 1 league.

So I renamed my Yanks save game file from inside OOTPB, then saved a 2nd copy of this roster, took control of the D'Backs and went on my merry way.

But in the Arizona franchise, the game was crashing to desktop every time I tried to progress past April 30th, 2007.

Now keep in mind that my settings are identical between the Yanks franchise and the Arizona franchise, except for the team I'm running and of course player and staff transactions.

But lo and behold, the fix for the Arizona franchise was to turn off scouting, progress to May 1st, then turn scouting back on. When I enabled scouting again, all my scouts were still there and they were still on their assigned scouting trips, so that isn't affected. Whether or not they're starting over is another question.

Pretty strange to have 2 identical saved games, and one works perfectly and the other has problems.

Just fyi...

Just try it again. It did that to me, so I refreshed the page and got the file.

New set. This will probably be it unless Redsoxford makes some new breakthroughs.

In this version, history is working completely, coaches have been verified and all have current contracts. All ghost players deleted. Some additional statistical tweaks. Perhaps if there is enough interest someone can volunter to host the file elsewhere:

Nomar, in the new release, the free agents in the MLB are all from Japan. Int he last one you had all the FA's they seemed to have disappeared in this one.

When I get to April 24th, it says Hawaii has no pitcher and will not let me continue. I am playing in the majors, so I went to look at Hawaii. It shows a full roster and has pitchers. I took over managing the team and moved people around with the same issue. I tried to play the game and it shows the team as completely empty.

I cant continue with my league and it kinda stinks since its not even in my league. Any comments/suggestions?

I have no idea if this will help, but I read somewhere you should do this at the start of every league..

In the league options menu is a "function" button at the bottom. When you click on it, one of the options is "Set all computer controlled teams to allow AI roster changes."
