Whoops sorry -- I'd recommend just trying to give Byrd/Rogers/etc. their regular MLB deals. You might try placing them in AAA as not a part of the 40-man roster at first and the team might not cut them then if they want to "demote" them to AAA right away. Not sure, still playing around with that.
As for history/almanac, I doubt it, but you never know. I played around with trying to figure it out in the past and had some issues, but I think it might be possible. Still unsure on that. |

Also, don't forget to udate your sig. I have suggestion, too. It would really help a lot of the 'newbs' if you, or someone, posted how importing or using these roster sets work. I know I had trouble when I first started trying to use them, but there was really no guide anywere(That I found). Padresfan's site doesn't have roster sets on it. Thanks. I love these rosters sets; they're great. |

Partial thread-jack here:
I'm torn between the default rosters and Cubby's. I LOVE having the history in the default one (OOTP 8) but there are obvious problems with that roster and it is outdated. Cubby's is up to date and excellent (haven't tried it myself) but does not have the history. This is an obvious choice to go with gameplay and Cubby's roster but does anyone have an idea what is going on with the OOTP8 roster? I'd love to have history and great gameplay! Is there a way to add the history much like OOTP 6.5 and before?

Cubby, if you can get the league/team history and leaderboard current this set would be complete, at least for me. |

I was going to try and forward the date a bit to the "preseason" for Short Season A and Rookie Ball so I can put in the schedules, but I'm not sure what it is.
Is it after January 1 so I can do that? Anyone? |

Yeah I'll throw up the one I'm looking at now. S-A and R teams don't have schedules but besides that, the other problems are all fixed, I believe.
Still working on this history thing, but the more I look, the more it seems possible. |

Alright while I wait for it to upload, here's what I can do for you guys needing history in the game.
I CAN link up history to this file by re-importing another MLB league, and moving our players we have now over there. The only problem that we'll have is that pre-2008 almanac will NOT change. So if you're surfing the almanac, looking at the 2006 Boston Red Sox, and you click on Josh Beckett, it won't be updated with his stats that have accumulated from your league. It WILL however, update them if you're looking at the 2008+ Boston Red Sox and you go to Beckett from there. Does that make sense? This is the easiest way for me to do it without taking a LONG time to do it, and it seems like not a huge deal. Everything else will be there, lineups, team histories, team records, etc. etc, the only thing we'll be missing is JUST updated player pages if you're visiting them from the 2007 or before pages. |

If someone wants to re-host it feel free. I left out images, I'm uploading those now separately so you guys don't have to re-download them everytime.Unzip using WinZip (www.winzip.com) to your OOTP/data/savedgames folder. From there, just load up the game and fire 08rosters.lg up, that should work fine. I'll go into some more complicated instructions later when I have a chance. S-A and R schedules are not yet fixed. |
