I noticed that the milestone page lists very many players approaching milestones, more than the parameters shown on the screen would dictate. For example, somebody who needs 90 home runs to reach 400 when the screen says only those within 30 should be shown, IIRC. Anybody else see this? I haven't played this quickstart yet, so I don't know what happens when you advance the season. I am more concerned that the milestone page is working in OOTP 8 than the MLB quickstart being accurate, if that is the cause.

Yes, I had noticed that, but didn't think much of it at the time, as if my mind was subconciously saying it's within 100 as the hits and rbis were.

The milestone feature is a new add, and I am not familiar with it as of yet. I'll try to dig into it. This behavior might need to be noted in Bugzilla.

Two quick questions:

1. Is this roster set stable and ready to go long term as is?

2. Are there any plans to address / update issues?

Thanks!

This does not happen in fictional leagues, so the problem is with the mlb roster set.
Yes, it is, I have fixed this going forward. In the version i personally am working on it has all the right names for coaches as of Opening Day. Which will need to be updated as a couple of them have passed away since the season started.

I will be offering a new update to things soon. I am trying to finish off one of the projects on it that I am working on. Once that is completed I will put it out there.

As I finish different pieces of the overall project I will continue to rerelease as well.

It appears that the stats for the Arizona Diamondbacks for the 2006 season are incomplete. All of the pitchers who appeared in both the minors and the majors in 2006 do not show stats for their time on the major league club. Example, look at guys like Tony Pena, Doug Slaten, etc. You will see their stats for the minor league teams they played for but no stats for their time with Arizona in 2006. I have not checked other teams and will be seeing if I see any more examples of this problem or if it is isolated to Arizona.

The PCL schedule is wrong. For some reason Iowa is not scheduled in any games and Las Vegas is scheduled in two games a day. It looks like Las Vegas was subbed for Iowa on every day throughout the season.

Are there any plans to look at these issues or any quick / easy fixes?

Thanks

Looking at it closely again, it's just the home runs; all other milestone watches are within the stated parameters. If it's working properly otherwise, and I have no reason not to believe so, then I can live with it this way (I'm just thrilled to have Milestone Watch back in the game). So, I will leave it in your capable hands as to reporting the issue. Thanks.

I have done multiple 30 year sims with this. The sims go a bit faster if you delete the players who never reach the majors.

I have never experienced any issue with this set.

However, I added a feeder lg only once, and ran that lg for 4-5 seasons. I did not challenge the game that hard.

Ok I fixed the Iowa Cubs thing, I now have the right schedule in mine. Will try to get this fix to everyone very soon.

OK, yeah if you can post the schedule, that would be great - What about the stat issue with the diamondback pitchers, would that be a question for Lahman?

Thanks

OK, I just went in and checked Lahmans database and the stats are in there. I wonder why they would have not imported correctly when starting the league. These players show all of their minor league stats for 2006 correctly, just no stats for their time on Arizona MLB club in 2006? Any thoughts?

It appears that it is also the diamondback position players like Mark Reynolds, etc. If they played in the minors and majors in 2006 only their stats from the minors are showing up. I have checked a few other teams and they seem to be fine, so far it is just a problem with Arizona.

Did Mark Reynolds play in the majors in 2006? I don't think he did.

You are right, Reynolds had no time in 06 but players like Miguel Montero and Chris Young did. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.

Thanks

Yes I knew that but you could make it into a 2008 Roster set.

This thread is for a year 2007 roster set, not a 2008 roster set.
