Email Fidel with that idea, he might want to commission one. After all, he used to be a pretty good pitcher once.

LOL! I think it's now acknowledged that he wasn't the hotshot pitcher that he was once claimed to be. Didn't someone suggest he had a tryout for the Dodgers in the days before he got distracted plotting revolution? I think Peter C. Bjarkman's book deals with the issue at some length, but as I've just ordered it and it's unlikely to arrive until after Christmas, I don't have the definitive answer just yet.

Has anyone read Tim Wendel's novel "Castro's Curveball"? It was referred to on a site I was looking at as I was trying to find out more about the cuban leagues; I've ordered it, but as I'm in the UK it's likely to be a little while before I get to see it. On the other hand, a couple of days ago I ordered Peter C Bjarkman's book on the history of Cuban baseball and it actually arrived this morning - so I'll have something to keep me occupied whilst the rest of the family is watching all the **** on TV!!
