Lahman format Roster Editor

I'm wondering if there's a reason there's no roster editors available that allow you to easily modify the Lahman database format? I know that you can import the .csv files in Access and edit the data that way, but it's not the easiest thing for newbies to manage. I'm a programmer and have put something together that I use, but it's not fit for public consumption. However, if there's a demand (and no legal reasons one hasn't been created yet) I might be pursuaded to put something together.

That kind of utility would be a big help. I would be interested in using it. I definitely fit under the Newbie category when it comes to editing csv files.

Yes, Please! I sure would like to get some of the 1800's players thrown into the mix. AND I'm not 100% sure, but I'm finding that starting a game in 1901 seems to leave out a bunch of players from the 1800's. I don't know if it's the game or Lahman's stats that causes this because I've been using some of the edited DB's the last few years.

Thank you.

Basically, if somebody could make something resembling the old High Heat Baseball "DangerZ" editor, I think you would see roster-makers triple, at least. That program was a Godsend. There were Opening Day rosters with full minors within a week of Opening Day every year.

Would be possible, but nobody knows the stats->rating formulas that are used for current season or potential.

Anything Lahmanized can be imported.

I am working on a Lahman import of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League that was around in the 40's.

If you can import girls you can import anything.

I think the FaceGen for the girls will be interesting!
