Help with rosters

I have a file that opens in text format with commas seperating the different headings. I want the file to open in excel format with each heading in a different cell to make mass editing simpler. Help.
Attached Files
File Type: txt mlb_rosters.txt (3.2 KB, 31 views)

I just downloaded your file and went into Excel 2004 on my Mac, and went to File - Open and chose the file and it went into a Text Import Wizard.

You're going to want to make sure that you say your data is delimited (later you'll say by comma). The big question of what you'll want to do is choosing what row you want the import to start at. If you choose the row with the comma delineated headings (row 34 in this case I think) they will be the row headers, but you'll lose the team ID codes at the start of the file. If you choose the first row to start import, you'll have the row headers in the row above where the player info starts. So that's up for you.

The import went smoothly for me. I don't know what your specific problem was. I hope this helps though.

Looks like that's it. Couldn't figure it out at 4 in the morning, thanks.
