Most Stable Real Life MLB set?

After reading through the threads for both the in-game MLB roster set (Rolen's) and CubbyFan's latest offering I see that both have their "issues".

Which set are people playing and which one seems to be the most stable and usable?

I'd be interested in knowing this too. I need to feed my OOTP need before OOTP9, and starting with "real" teams would be nice. Not too sure if it's worth upgrading from 2007 to 8 or not just for the MLB rosters.

If the real roster are the only reason you'd be upgrading I wouldn't recommend it. There are reports that the roster set has "issues" and no reports of it being resolved.
