try this -

Game Setup -> League Setup -> Functions -> Set all teams back to being computer controlled

If there are no trades, they are probably still all on human owned. Hopefully that works.

You also have to set all teams to computer manager as well as allowing them to make moves. Also trade difficulty is set to hard and to favor prospects.
Did you change any AI trade options? Average, Average, Nuetral. Try that and see.

FYI

I have the FULL file heading to Padresfan now fellas...with the full roster file you will have all images (including all 2008 photos from mlb.com & past player photos), logos, etc. File is much larger - around 113 MB.

Kagnew not sure what is going on with the trades if you have all those enabled - I'll look at the file again to make sure nothing else weird is going on. In test sims there were computer trades.

Anyone else seeing this that has the file?

Just ran my league to first few games of Spring training.
Trades happened in my game. My team and several others conducted trades.

Yea same here - Kag Im not sure man. You may have to run those things mentioned in order? computer control all teams -> you pick your team as human control -> computer allow AI changes -> run computer manager all teams.

Kelric I am seeing the same thing - I started as Seattle and the Philly owner offer 1b Ryan Howard for SP Erik Bedard, RP Brandon Morrow, and c Rob Johnson.

Barry Bonds re-signs with the Giants for a 2yr deal, and Roger Clemens takes a 3(?!?) year deal from the White Sox.

In other offseason news, Scott Rolen injured his back when "his car skidded off the road due to poor weather conditions." Poor Dave Roberts, traded to the Padres in the first offseason move for 1b Brian Myrow, fell off a ladder and is out 4 weeks

Should be an interesting season!

Oddly enough, Bonds also signed a two year deal with the Giants earlier tonight in my league. They wound up winning the West somehow with their pitching and a glued together offense of youngsters with a few vets sprinkled in.

I just want to first of all say what an excellent roster set and thanks for all of your hard work.

Simmed through an offseason and spring training and transactions occurring at a reasonable rate (Set Trade Frequency to Average). I noticed that when Opening Day rolled around my pitching staff was almost completely tired as a whole (starters and relievers) as well as several positions players. Any advice on what settings I should change in order to have everyone ready to go on Opening Day not worn out from Spring Training? I appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Great work on the rosters. Thanks a lot for doing this, we really appreciate!

Home runs are low though, anyone tried a adjustment factor on that?

So how deep are these rosters in the minors? Statistically how are they playing? Will they play out decent in terms of finances and so forth?

Appreciate ALL the hard work!!

Yea year 1 the homeruns are a little low - however the following years they pick back up. (at least in my test sims)

OK.

Also, is there a way to export all ratings for all players?

When I do it via League Setup // Functions, the .txt file generated is not a reflect of the actual ratings in the roster set...

Also, is there any way to begin the season without all the injured players (Escobar, Ray, Guzman, etc.)

Thanks again!

Readme file?

There was no actual readme file included with the download. Can you place the file in the thread?
