Using real rosters in 14 team fictional league
I've read a couple of threads about how to use real rosters in fictional leagues and think I can follow those instructions.
But given I only want a league with 14 teams what I want to know is do players assess their own worth based on available funds. ie. Will an MLB player who would normally find himself on a roster in a 32 team league accept a minor league contract in a 14-team league or will he hold out because he thinks he is worth more than that? An example might be Buddy Carlyle of the Braves who is worthy of a Major League contract in a 32-team league but might only make AAA or AA in a 14 team league.
