Spritze's 1945-1974 Database with full minor league stats
I was wondering if Spritze has had a chance to update the database described below. I'd love to get a copy of the latest version if available. I've really enjoyed using a earlier version for a historical league beginning in 1946.

Finished 1945 this weekend. So this set is complete for 1945 thru 1974.
I also added the standard Lahmans for 1871 through 1944 and 1975 thru 2007. So if you start your league in 1871 the first of the added/extended players start appearing in the 1880's and from 1945 to 1975 you have the complete set. From 1975 through 2007 some of the extended players are still there. What I still need to do is to fill-in the gap/missing seasons. I already coded this and just need to run it. I'll do this in the next day or two. |

Since OOTP cannot process raw minor league stats into useable ratings those stats have been converted to Major League Equivalents. Otherwise you get ratings that make no sense for the age of the player and the minor league level he played at.
So an 18 yr old who hit .400 in class D might have a Batting Average MLE of only .185. This means IF HE HAD PLAYED in the major leagues what would he have likely produced based on his minor league record. A 26 year old who hit .300 with 25 HR's in class AAA might have a batting average MLE of .285. with 16 HR's. etc |

Minor league/foreign/negro league stats are neutralized to the major league run environment of each particular year. Major league stats are left as real life.
I can use it as the base set and run it through the Garlon/Spritze 750 run neutralizer. I built that so any Lahman compatable set can be neutered. As it stands now it is un-neutrered at the major league level. |

Using hundreds of formulas as there are hundreds of processes needed to create good MLE's, not just one. Some come from the Garlon historical neutralized db. Some from my own self. Some from various tomes I have read. I just picked up the good stuff as needed.

Rube Foster (P) never shows up when starting from 1901 in a few test runs and Satchel Paige and Buck O'neill doesnt when starting in the 30's. (a few others that i see in the database also don't seem to show up, but i wasnt watching for them). Buck also doesnt show up when starting in 1945....Victor Starffin shows up, as well as many Japanese players, but the negro leaguers seem to have gone missing.....
Also, having all the players in All Caps can be annoying. I like those who were not major leagues being all caps, but everybody.......i went and mass changed them - hopefully that didnt make a mess of Foster.

Checked my current league and he went 71-37 before retiring after 8 years. won 24-13 in 1907 and 26-10 in 1908 his best two years, also was 15-10 in 1906 retired in 1911. Basically only played 3 full years in the bigs.
6 No-Hitters as a minor leaguer though. |

Doesnīt mods work with neutralized version of OOTP9 WHY ???
If you start a historical dynasty with Lahmanns DB (and has done some smaller adding of new players) shouldnīt that work ???? What is the basis that OOTP9 build their historical dynasties on. Have Lahmanns original DB being doctored with by Markus ??? I thought that all historical stats came "clean" and untouched from Lahmann THEN with a math algorith recalculated based on park-adjusted and neutralized mathematics.... a formula used on true stats. ISNīT THIS SO ????? |
