Quick example: There is a huge amount of uncertainty with Dexter Fowler's power ceiling. The Analyst happens to think he'll have plus power, but other sources may disagree. So- while we can use these grades to base our attributes out of, we need to bear in mind what other systems think of the player.
Ok, nightly spreadsheet update.

I worked on it for an hour or two, and managed to add another 100 players to the tools grades. There are now a total of 303 players in the those tools sheets, including all players with last names A-F in the book.

Emailed to the requested places and whatnot.

Not sure if it's just my game, but the whole thing locks up and closes when I reach August 12th (or close to that day). Have you tried simming a couple seasons with this set yet? Not sure why it is doing this for me.

Just curious if anyone besides me has had any crashes to desktop during or soon after the first draft using this roster set? I never had OOTP 9 crash using the pre-packaged roster, but it started during the draft using this roster set. I can't get more then a few days past the draft before it crashes. Sometimes in the draft, sometimes a day or 2 after.

This is the prepackaged roster, so I doubt that changing ratings would do anything to make it crash.

I'll give it a a look though.

EDIT: Just ran a test sim, no problems on this end.

Thanks man. I have no idea why it started doing that. I also don't believe it's related to the roster changes, but it was the only recent change I'd made, so that's why I posted.

Before you send up your new roster package I can see some missing.

Jared Wells P, started in AAA with Portland (SD) then to Tacoma (Sea), before playing 2 games with Seattle Mariners.
Look at thebaseballcube.com

Richie Gardner P with Nashville AAA (Milwaukee) was (or is) with the 40-man roster for Milwaukee.

I think I sa2w the retired 2B Brent Abernathy on Phillys 40 man roster.

We got a Catcher Lou Palmisano with the Brewers.
Lou Palmisano Stats, Bio, Photos, Highlights | Brewers.com: Team
from Nashville Sounds AAA

Cedrick Bowers is a Pitcher with Rockies
Cedrick Bowers Stats, Bio, Photos, Highlights | ColoradoRockies.com: Team
played in Japan some years before I think.
Before called up and played so far 5 games he played with Colorado Springs AAA.

Guillermo Rodriguez C not retired but with the Giants. Think he was with the Fresno AAA at season start.

Well I normally donīt crack about ratings, but do you need to look at Matt Joyce power stuff.
He swings a powerful bat for the Tigers. One of the best rookies in HR.

Well, get back .....

Cubby - is there a reason that you have 40 man rosters turned off in your releases?

Actually I hadn't noticed until yesterday. Call me slow.

I guess what I'm waiting on is to finish with the AA. Right now, if I turn on 40-man rosters, I would probably need to automanage teams (so they would fill their fourty mans and there wasn't just the chaos that would ensue if I decided what their 40-man was) and if I did that, all of the minor leaguers would be scattered and it would be much more of a pain for me to edit the rosters.

It's something I'll do down the line, but for now it's probably easier for me to distribute them like this, and for you guys to turn them on or leave them off if you wish.

Also I just realized that I haven't touched the free agent pool, so I'm going to see if I can edit those ratings and pitch types quick before I throw these up.

Shouldn't take too long. Last chance for any edits before I upload!

Hope i'm not too late, but on the Phils, JC Romero and Lidge are still rated a bit low. Romero's hardly considered as good in the game when he was one of the best relievers in the league last year. Lidge has also only had one bad season out of three, so I don't know, I think his movement should be a little bit better.

Hi, I have some questions regarding this rosterset.

But first of all I want to say how much I appreciate the work you guys put in this.

Back to my questions: Why is the 40-Man Roster still inactive?
And why is it the 1. of April with edited schedules for Boston and Oakland?

Just wanted to know.

BTW, it's nice to have Bonds back, but I don't get the whole suspension/injury thing, since he was avaiable all year, no one signed him until know, and probably no one will in the future, but that should be up to the GM's. Just my .

WHOOPS!

I forgot before I uploaded and I never fixed the rosters. Give me one second to fix.

To create the draft pool I had to sim to April 1, so we'll just have to have a doubleheader on the first day.

No, I think it's a minor fix to version 2.0.

But i fear it won't be to easy since when you simply activate 40 Man-Roster on April 1. you are no longer able to activate Rule 5 Draft for that year.
Or I'm doing something terribly wrong.

Hopefully we will see the Quad Cities River Bandits as in the newest 9.1.2 Roster update instead of Quad City Swing (that was 2007 name)

Also the new 9.1.2. roster got Charlie Morton, Jared Wells and Jason Perry, but not Bowers, Palmisano or Richie Gardner as I mentioned before.

Lets hope we got a dandy....

Hopefully you have checked the XM All-Star Futures Game and got these boys into your roster

The release tonight will have:

- Re-rated free agents
- Top 200 Draft prospects in the 2008 draft pool
- Added players (Morton, Perry, Palmisano, etc.)
- Few changed ratings

Only bad news is indeed, you cannot enable Rule 5 Draft. However you will be able to after the 2008 season is complete (and there won't be a Rule 5 draft normally until after then anyway)
