You can but have to have Secondary Rosters turned on.
Theirs a problem with this league I get to after the Expansion Draft and it crashs. I also have the Template that was made for 09 version and lots of people on the Free-Agent from 08 Templates in it so before you put out this new update might try it your self and if it should be moved to Tech Support then I would do it for them to answer.

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Let's try this again! Here's the file, Opening Day includes all double-headers, that was the only change we needed to make to accommodate the edited draft class.

I'll update the original post soon.

Tigers Edits

Todd Jones can be changed to Disliked for Popularity, people here hate him for some reason.

Verlander needs a slider, and his velocity is topping out around 95 this year.

Zumaya's fastball is around 99 mph, no more 103. Locally is very popular, role should be setup not closer.

Are you interested in this kind of info? I'll go more indepth if you are.

I hate being the guy to ask this, but any ETA on 2.5? I am holding off on releasing the file for my new league until your v2.5 comes out so I can decide if we should go with the OOTP patched rosters or v2.5 from you. Myself and my owners are foaming at the mouth to get started, but I want to make sure that I have a good roster set to start the league with.

Actually the whole reason I'm doing the set this year is because I've been tossing around the idea of doing my own league as well, so I know how the impatientness (*not a word) can go, I feel it myself right now.

I think I'm going to go through and still edit the Top 30 prospects from BA for the next release, and then fine tune it with RedSox amazing prospect database (seriously, its awesome work). I would say that the next release will be our first release of the year to be very league-worthy and 100% playable, and whether or not you want to wait on a more fine-tuned release after that would be up to you.

Coming through in the clutch again! I'll try to add in the missing guys from this AND the hometowns for the draftees in the next release. Wish I wouldn't have somehow missed reading this!

Fair enough. I am just trying to tell my guys some rough estimate of a start date so that's why I was curious if you hate a date in mind for the v2.5 release.

I'll give a release date soon (how's that for a double-whammy) but let me get a bit into the process here and I'll have a much better idea of how long it'll take.

So, I added hitters from "G" to "I" tonight. Didn't have time to catch up the pitchers, I'll do that tomorrow and hopefully get both up to "L". The count is currently at 382 players. The finished count is going to be 1012 (there are fewer players in the book than I thought), so I'm about 38% done right now.

It took about 45 minutes to do 75 players, lol.

Did you leave the 40Man-Roster deactivated because of the Rule 5 Draft problem?

I know I'm repeating myself.

Some teams have Fake Managers like the Mets/Cubs and not Jerry Manuel and Lou Pinella but like the Diamonbacks have Bob Melvin and Red Sox's Terry Francona why is that?
CC. Sabathia is know CC Sabathia.
Can you include the Retired Players and Pitchers on the Free Agent Market so it makes the League more funner and other USA Leagues because your going to include the updated Japanese one in the future?
How about Trading Block people who have been Traded or going to be?

Wonder if you could have changed the ammy draft to a week earlier in order to keep the rule 5 draft for 2008. 75 days prior to 6/8 would have enabled you to keep the start date of the file at 3/25 no?

Tried it, 75 days earlier was the earliest I could go, and the first day the pool would be revealed would be 4/1.

There is no Rule 5 draft in 2008 until the season is over, at which time you can enable it, so you aren't missing anything (I am almost positive).

i meant move the date of the ammy draft up - i think it defaults to June 5th - move it to May 27th (who cares really what day it is but pretty sure people could change it back to june 5th for 2009 and beyond). wouldn't that make the draft pool available earlier than 4/1?

The only impact other than not allowing a Rule 5 draft in 2008 (which the game in it's official form allows you to select/deselect but not hold a 2008 R5 draft), is that it kind of messes up the need for a 40-man roster. You can still add the guys, but since there is no draft, there's no reason to protect them. Saves you the $390k per player by not putting 'em on, and you won't really need the 40-man until the September call-ups.

Not a big deal, but does take away from the realism a little. No need to waive/designate guys when you want to reassign them within the system.

Yes & No. You are going to need at least one spot for every player on your ML roster opening day + one for every injury replacement + one for every player with a pro contract whom has not cleared waivers. Those 40 spots get used up rather quickly.

Saw that myself. Not sure what changed?

Might have knocked out some of the history (which isn't a bad thing because none of it was real, it would just be a list of player moves I made while doing rosters).

That's all I can think of.
