Having trouble importing individual players from Arod database

I've been trying to import individual players from the Arod23Garlon2006DB into a fictional universe i've created but have had no success. Every import fails.

Any suggestions about what might be the problem?

I'm using the latest macintosh version of OOTP9 (all patches up-to-date).

I've tried the Lahman database and it works like a charm so I really only need Arod's info to import some of the Negro League all-stars.
