Thanks for all the hard work. It is really a huge help. Just wondering. Every player's "Real Stats" that I check have incorrect teams in their histories. ie: Matt Holliday is listed as having played for AS1 for his career, Jason Giambi for CLE and DET and Jason Bay for KCA and HOU. Any ideas
thnx -J |

![]() Actually after I went out and shouted out Markus like that, he still hasn't sent me the file! The nerve of the guy! I'm guessing he's operating on a different clock than some of us, so if I get it tonight, I'll throw it up, otherwise I'm guessing it's coming tomorrow.

Yep, it has all new teams for '09 in there.
Haven't added schedules yet, but if someone can point me in the direction of an '09 schedule, I'll be happy to add it. |

So what are the realistic player development / aging settings?
Also what are realistic AI player evaluation options in the file its 50 / 25 / 20 / 5....but I downloaded last years file 3.1 for 2008 rosters and these options were VERY diff...something like 64 /34/ 1/ 1. |

It's going to change in the newest version, I definately think that there needs to be more weight on ratings (perhaps more than last year's version). Thinking about something like 75/13/8/4.

hmm so far the roster set looks great. I went through and updated some of the transactions and couldn't find anything wrong (except the Kotchman thing I mentioned, and you might even have fixed that in a more recent release)
too bad my managerial skills aren't as good as my ability to spot rating errors - I'm managing the Giants and I foolishly decided to keep Brian Wilson as the closer. first 2 games: a loss and a no decision (because of my offense). some guy named Brian Bogusevic went 6-8 in my last game - naturally, he scored the winning run by homering off Bob Howry in the bottom of the 16th inning ![]() anyway this has nothing to do with your roster set, which is great as always

We had a problem on the first go around with the correct world.dat file with the "ghost" leagues gone but the "ghost" players/coaches remaining and causing freezes. Markus also has fixed that for us, and sent me a new copy. I'm going to be doing some serious testing tonight and releasing a new version tonight in the wee hours.
So yes, 1.2 will have all of that corrected, but is not out yet. I'm also having the issues with the mid-June/July problem of "X league does not have enough players" so it's something I'll look into. I might need to fill the rookie/SS leagues with fake players (I can make them all horrible with no shots to make the majors) just as placeholders until I can put the real players in. The only other alternative is allowing teams to not field complete rosters, which as we've seen, can cause some goofy AI. |

Also, the problem with low minors prospects being in the player database but not assigned to a club or in the FA pool is still there, at least for me. I've downloaded each version twice to make sure. There are also a couple of prospects who appear twice in the player list. A short list of the prospects I've identified as not being on their club: Xavier Avery Robbie Ross Kyle Lobstein Ross Seaton Tanner Scheppers LJ Hoes Jake Ordorizzi Chris Dominguez Logan Forsythe David Adams Nate Tenbrink Tim Melville There may be others; I haven't finished going through the complete player list. Also, I'm curious: will players who are in the player list such as Aaron Crow and Gerrit Cole but who didn't sign be in the new draft pool? To add: I'm not finding fault with your work, cubby - I'm grateful as hell, and will remain so even if no 1.2 version ever comes out. Last edited by Jay Elias; 01-16-2009 at 03:26 PM. |

Quick question... if I just wanted to start playing with the 1.1 set right now, will this be a serious problem? What's the big hold-up with ghost leagues/players? Is it really a huge issue and will it make my playing experience absolutely terrible?

When you do start adding missing minor leaguers, don't overlook recent signee Junichi Tazawa. I think everyone in the Red Sox system is pretty high on him right now, and soxprospects.com has him in the top 10.
