Here ya go, buddy! A whole new world to play in!
On a serious note, how difficult would it be to create a schedule that follows the suggestion Bob Costas proposed? If you recall, Costas was proposing a tri-division setup, like todays, but balanced with three five-team divisions. The schedule was arranged so that inter-divisional play was 4 X 18 = 72, intra-divisional play was 10 X 6 = 60 and inter-league was 5 X 6 = 30, with the kicker being that the inter-league play rotated among the three divisions. I can see a lot of positives for something like this, although I am still having trouble with his idea that the division winners with the best record in each league would receive byes for the first round of playoffs in order to eliminate the lame "wild-card" concept. |

I think gmo has made a schedule something like that in the fictional schedules thread in the OOTP6 Mods forums. You'd have to check the list though in the first post; there are a huge amount of schedules in that thread.
The only thing I'm not fond of from that specific proposal is the 30 interleague games; that's too many for my tastes.
