Season start date

Why is there also not an option for season finish date?

And less important, but still almost as important, what about options for doubleheader frequency, off day frequency and when they occur relative to series...

For instance, it is now impossible to have a 90 game season last 45 days. Or even 90 days.

The simple answer:

Because all of those would mean a very involved and complicated schedule generator. And it's already difficult enough to generate good schedules for the basic set of parameters already covered.
