The Flames have lots of experience, a bunch of players being on the 1982 champs. The Nordiques hardly have any experience. This is their first real run at a title. Quebec finished with the 2nd best record in the league, and has the statistical advantage over Calgary almost everywhere. Quebec though, relies on Doug Gilmour and Paul Coffey. If those two arenít scoring, the Nordiques arenít scoring. Calgary has a more balanced attack.

Quebecís goaltending situation is weird. Doug Soetaert has played the majority of playoff games, but heís sitting in the minors for some reason, and only played 12 NHL games during the regular season. Their two regular NHL goalies, Scott Gordon and Karl Friesen have each seen action in the playoffs. I have no clue who will play goal for them.
