Brantley Kriegel, CF

Despite retiring at the age of 35, Kriegel finds himself in the inner circle of MLB Hall of Fame hitters, right between Aiden Massicotte and Jason Hunnicutt. He was an elite CF for nearly a decade while putting up above-average offensive stats. He won two MVPs, 5 gold gloves, and two silver sluggers. He also went to 5 all-star games. Kriegel was drafted 8th overall out of college in 1912.

Career Stats: 7001 PA, 1824 H, 342 SB, .344 wOBA, 118 wRC+, 187.7 ZR, 56.9 WAR, 51.7 JAWS

He was also part of the Dodgers 1916 championship. His career also ended on a torn labrum 21 years later. He won 3 Pitcher of the Year awards and was selected to 9 all-star games. His overall career WAR places him second all-time behind J.P. Avila and he is one of three pitchers (Avila, Zach Jensen) to accumulate over 2000 career strikeouts.

Achievements, April/May 1927

I wrote this up and posted them but unfortunately the forum server went down just as I posted it. By the time I realized it, I had already deleted the emails in the game. There were a whole lot of no-hitters around the world and one 35 game hitting streak in college.

1927 MLB Playoffs

The Rangers win their second championship and the Braves were one game away from winning their third straight. They've made 4 of the last 5 World Series and 8 straight playoffs. Looking at their finances, they have a much larger budget than other teams...I may do something about that.
