Draft classes awful?

Iíve simmed ten years and my last three or four draft classes have been aboslutely terrible. Is this normal? The first five years I picked in the top three in the draft so maybe since Iíve been picking the the 20s last five years could explain it.

next time, turn 100% accuracy on and check... more than likely it's an illusion. if worried about repercussion of this act --> load game, do nothing but this, then end process. it will remove that 'extra' scouting report you can use to cheat if the ai isn't smart enough to notice it. (whne you turn on 100% accurate scouting, or simply change that setting at all, it cuases a scouting report to occur league-wide)

scouting is incredibly inaccurate for these players compared to what you may be used to at the MLB level with the same exact budget and scout.

however, you can have bad drafts classes. they "can" happen in multiple years in a row. their is volatility and it will not be the ~same every year.

in my experience of longer-term sims, i see me league ERA range from 3.9-4.2ish. that's not all due to randomness of flipping a coin per PA... that's also randomness of draft class qualities furthering that volatility, as it should.

if you are transitioning from real to fictional, that may be a seperate reason why, but it will alleviate itself in a year or 2 once all 'real' amatuer name are exhausted from dB.

It's hard to label a draft class as bad until many many years afterwards. Have you gone back and noticed anything?

I notice throughout drafts (I'm in my tenth season as well), that many 1, 2 star prospects can turn into absolute studs through the right minors programs.

It may look like a weak draft class from the initial potential ratings, but stars do grow
