September 1st 1923
Nothing much has changed since last month. Same two leaders and the same sizable leads in each league. And two teams have been very bad this season, will probably lose over
100 games, the Boston Red Sox and the St Louis Cardinals are those teams.

We are getting down to the wire with around 23 games remaining. New York and Washington are looking like they will be opponents in the World Series. Neither team has played the other.

Batting Races
Will Harry Heilmann or Rogers Hornsby be a .400 hitter at the end of the season?

August 1st 1924 Update
Looks like some nice races are heating up in both the American and National League. In the American, Cleveland continues to lead with Philadelphia out a mere 3.5 games.
Washington is sitting 6 back. In the National League, the Cardinals hold a very slim 1 game lead over the Boston Braves. Senators' ace Dazzy Vance (20-6, 2.54 era, 141
strike outs) is looking ahead, he has a very good chance to pick up the Pitching Triple Crown, the last pitcher do achieve that feat was teammate Walter Johnson in 1921.

Washington Senators Report
Record 60-42: 3rd Place 6 GB
15-12 for the month of July. Saw 6 losses to the bottom 3 teams.
