Lost in extra innings to the Phillies. Errors again didn't help, nor walks, of course, I'm sure. But we're still over .500 for Spring Training, just the same. Will write more later. CD out.

Two trades made on March 31, 1934 are as follows:
23-year-old Billy Sullivan, Jr. to the Yankees for 30-year-old Eric Jones Five minor leaguers, including a 32-year-old Kiddo Davis, to the Browns for a minor league pitcher, one infielder, and one outfielder. Stay tuned for further developments with this squad. I have one more player on the trading block, but he won't be tradeable for a while yet, it seems, due to him being still injured and too far away from that point in time. I won't likely be able to trade him until at least late May, if not early June, I think. My next post in this thread should cover the next spring training game this team has, I suspect. That may or may not happen today, but we'll have to see about that, everyone. I may not be able to play or simulate that game today, though. CD out. |

A late error by Mize in center field led to two unearned runs against the Cubs, and we lost 3-1, unfortunately. But we're still 13-6 during spring training, I believe. CD out.

I hope to get back to this thread with more game and other reports by the end of this month, if not sooner, but we'll have to see how things go for me in my life until I'm able to do so well enough, folks. Hopefully, we'll see some more activity very soon, in any case, in this thread.
But I've been working more on my writing and other things, of late, so I've not really been able to spend as much time playing OOTP as I may have wanted to lately, if at all. Maybe when my next significant bit of writer's block strikes, I'll be able to get back to this sort of thing. I'm already short one championship over the length of this saved game/dynasty, after all. I started it with the 1931 season, which the RL Cardinals won the WS in, so I have to try and make up that missed championship as soon as I can, of course. If I don't win in 1934, I'll be two championships down, as a result, in comparison to the RL Cardinals, for sure. But I'm hoping that if I can continue to build the nest, that maybe I can make up the current shortfall in championships within the next five or so years, at the very most. Hopefully, by the 1950's, I'll be able to legitimately prevent the Yankees from establishing the dynasty that they began to establish by then, et cetera. But only time will tell, of course, folks. I don't know yet if I'll disengage real-life automatic league evolution by the end of the 1952 regular season, so that the Braves never move to Milwaukee, and the Browns don't move after 1953 from St. Louis, but it's quite likely, I think, that I will. Well, that's enough to talk about here for now, I think. CD out. |
