Question About AI Roster Setup and General Strategic Tendencies?

These areas live in the game under League Setup/Strategy, on the left side. I am wondering whether there is a TXT file so something like that available for these so I can open them up in Excel and scan them over looking for the changes in roster setups and strategic tendencies through the years, rather than just changing the Historical Year within the game itself so I can see what the changes are and when they happen. After all, there are 143 season baked into the game, and that would take a long time.

Does anyone know what file feeds this area of the game, and is it accessible to us?

This is the closest folder I could find. A lot of these files are .dats so prolly not too helpful.

But just in case:

Unfortunately, that's not it. Those files are profiles of general managers and managers as people, not the files with the historical settings for rosters and strategies, shown here:

OK, well, I decided to just suck it up, go into the game manually and just put together the stupid chart myself, and this is what I came up with:

Pretty fascinating, the sudden changes across several attributes, some unrelated, in 1960 and again in 1993. Also, interesting how stolen bases went from normal to rare in 1940, when IRL they got rare in 1930, plus the rate of SB in 1987 was triple that of 1953, and in fact the highest since 1919, whereas in the game it stayed "rare".

Not sure what to make of that ...

Came across a recent SABR article about the evolution of pitcher rotations, and below are the periods in which the various rotations were prevalent:

1871-1878: 1 man rotation
1879-1886: 2 man rotation
1887-1897: 3 man rotation
1898-1924: 4 man rotation
1925-present: 5 man rotation

So the table above looks a little aggressive in the moves from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4, and very very aggressive in the move to 5.

This is a simplistic overview of the article, but it is directionally accurate. So if you wanted to replicate your own version of the American major leagues throughout history, you might consider holding off on the 5-man until the mid 20s, for the most part.

Markus adjusted the rotation size based on your suggestion. Would you be able to examine all the categories and offer suggestions for improving them? It would be much appreciated.

I typed a long post, but my internet conked on me.

Suffice to say, it makes no sense that SB is listed as rare since 1941. SBs certainly did fluctuate throughout the years with 1976-1992 being the great renaissance of the SB since their high points in the 1800s and 1912-1916.
