There are 4 teams, 2 in each league that have started out hot. Cleveland and Washington in the American League and New York and Pittsburgh in the National League.

The season is still young as teams are battling it out. In the National League, the Giants and Pirates are trying to distance themselves from the rest of the league.

Cleveland Naps overtake the Senators for the top spot in the American League. Washington has lost 6 straight. In the National League, the Giants continue to lead Pittsburgh,
but Boston and St Louis have been playing well.

June 15th 1906 Update
The Philadelphia Athletics came flying to make it a four team contest so far this season. Atheistic won 11 straight to occupy the 3rd place. While the Boston American are sneaking up.
In the National League, New York continues to hold a slight lead over the Beaneaters and Pirates. The St Louis Cardinals are not too far back either.

Cleveland and New York still lead their leagues with very small margins. Giants opened up a slightly larger lead over Pittsburgh and Boston while Washington is not far behind the Naps.

Naps open up the American League with three wins over Washington. New York is clinging on to a half game lead over Boston. The Pirates are not too far behind either at 1 game back.

August 15th 1906 Update
Cleveland has increased their lead and the New York Giants fell off the pace. Naps lead Senators by 7.5 games. Giants are 9.5 GB. Both leaders look comfortable in their leads.

Cleveland Naps and Boston Beaneaters will meet for this year's World Series. Naps will be making their 11th appearance while the Beaneaters their 5th. Both teams are going for their 5th World Series title.

It is still too early but most of the teams are still in the hunt. In the American League, Cleveland is once again on top but Washington is sharing the lead with the Naps.
Over in the National League, the Chicago Cubs are on top with the New York Giants are close on their heels.
