Angry Players going Free Agent with contract left (?)

Hello everyone.

I'm having a terrible problem with the game. Just when I said in other thread I didn't have any problem, great timing though

The thing is 7 players of my current squad got moved to Free Agency from one moment to another. I found the issue with a player in the middle of the season but now during the off season one by one where going to FA with at least a year of contract left or at least one of them with contract just renewed.

I can't resign them because obviously they don't want to return so my team is now broken, and I'm very upset about this!!

Thanks for the quick response on Twitter! Very appreciated!

Now I'm not 100% sure on this (and I'm sure Jeff or Sebastian will weight in on it), but I *think* the issue is you're way over budget (see image attached). It looks like the AI is trying to make sure you team is eligible to play.

Did you have the AI do a Roster Setup? There's been a lot of movement from players, (see Picture 2), and I'm wondering if you selected that and now the AI is trying to more of less get you back on track.

All you said is correct.

I will explain here what I talked with you via Twitter.
When I accepted to manage this team like 3 or 4 seasons ago they budget for Free Agents was -170k, or something like that.

So when the season ended I tried to move all the players to the lower division to try if my team can clear the budget or something because situation didn't changed very much when the new season started. When moved all players noticed that my budge was like 700k, basically game clears budget when you move players to farm teams or lower divisions.

Based on that started to rebuild the team, obviously getting better players = high budget. So when season was about to start moving the main players to the team changed the budget drastically as you noticed. But with 3 or 4 seasons played already this never happened before.

I think there should be more options than buyout, trade players to get more budge for players because I think as a player I'm tied to a small rope if I manage a team like this with such small budget.
