So your team is similar to mine in that you're tops in pitching and defense (I'm 1st and 2nd) and your offense is not so great, but certainly no worse than mine.

Your Clippers have always been pretty tough, hope we meet in the postseason if the Corsairs hold on :-) I've had the ballpark factors turned all the way down the last couple of seasons on all my teams, next season putting them back to 1.0 to see what kind of difference it makes for them.

That would be cool. Plus it would be the 1st time my team made it past the WC game. We lost both times before. To be honest, I'm still surprised we're doing so well. I keep waiting for them to fall apart, but so far they've been very consistent.

I did finally decide to use my meager 8k PP to upgrade my RF. I was looking at some other RFs in the 12k-15k range, but decided on the 1952 Mickey Mantle instead. His card isn't great, but it's still a nice upgrade over my previous RF. His major weakness is that he strikes out a LOT.

I can not explain how a team as crummy as this is only three games off a wild card right now...

Looks better than my NYC Subway Rats that have been promoted to Diamond twice and been bitchslapped back to Gold both times (second time currently in progress lol).

14 under after 70 games and I finally get to .500, 67-67. With a plus 36 run differential.

4 1/2 back of the last wild card. It would take a semi-miracle, I have the toughest schedule yet, but just took 3 of 4 from 2 first place teams.

My team has been in 1st place (in G343) for most of the season, which has never happened before. August didn't go as well, so our lead is slipping, but hopefully we can hang in there. We've never won more than 86 games so maybe we can top that too.

I remember getting 1k PP for getting to play in the WC game, but I've never been further than that so I was wondering if you get more PP for going further and if so, how much?

I just had a silver player win POTM in Diamond! Further adding to my suspicion that Historical Players are ranked much OVR lower than they should be.

Do you mean that you get 1k for each playoff series victory or just 1k if you win the WS?

my log from last season shows:

going to the playoffs - 1000 (for making the post season)

finals baby! - 1000 (for making the WS)

champions! - 1000 (for winning the WS)

so 3K total if you win it all (also got 100 for 'season over - good score')

My Direwolves went on a eleven game win streak to end the day yesterday allowing them to retake the division lead at 75-62 and start the last day with a 6 1/2 game lead.

This is essentially the same exact team the in previous seasons finished 5th, 5th and 3rd in their division. My starters ERA is 3rd in the conference after finishing in the 13th -15th range in previous seasons.

I am happy to be in first for a change and have a winning record for the first time in four years but if I get promoted it will be painful in Diamond.

good luck down the stretch... didn't want to post anything about your win streak to jinx it...

one set of my boys are firmly in relegation territory.... the other is only a game out of first in the NC east and just picked up a new staff ace for the final month, so we'll see if he pans out (or if he pulls the typical mediocre few starts before he settles in)

OMFG, this game sometimes. I last logged on in 1st place in my Perfect League division sometime yesterday morning. I finished the day and now into this morning on a 3-20 run. How is that even possible to have such a dramatic performance drop? From a playoff spot to pretty much no chance now.

How can I have at least 3 hitters this bad? And I had Mike Trout hit for the cycle early yesterday, only to get 9 hits in his next 15 games. Unreal.

My winning streak ended at 16 which was enough to net me a 4,000 point gold achievement. That puts me at over 10,000. The begs the question where is the best spot to upgrade. My pitching has been really goo d this season but normally is not. I feel like my OF could use an upgrade, especially CF where my current player has a negative zone rating and with only 16 HR this season, in spite of having 85 power he is not holding up his end on the HR/RBI side of things.

Don't think that there is not a part of me that wants him on one of my teams
