Boston Red Sox 8 - 4 New York Yankees

The Boston Red Sox knocked off the New York Yankees, 8-4, at Yankee Stadium. Hanley Ramirez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Boston won. The first baseman hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. David Price, credited with the win, is now 6-2. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 7.2 innings. The Red Sox own a robust 85-33 mark.

Ramirez had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Red Sox went on to win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ramirez. "And not try to do too much."
