Brooklyn seemed a little lacklustre today, falling to the Cardinals by a score of 4-1.

Cole Crawford his hit in 17 straight games.

Brooklyn's problems with the Cardinals were exacerbated when Cy Young had to leave the game after a collision on the base paths. They never recovered on either side of the game and lost 6-0.

It took him until the 9th but Cole Crawford singled to take his hitting streak to 18 games.

We had exciting game as two pitching masters were on the mound. It was Eddie Plank and the Superbas who took the day, beating Three-Finger Brown and the Pirates 4-3.

A great game with a slightly anticlimactic ending as Jason Wright scored on a passed ball in the 11th for the walk-off win, 4-3 over the Pirates.

Sam Crawford went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI.

WP - Ismael Cervandas (2-0)
LP - Jack Chesbro (2-5)

Record - 17-15

Brooklyn is only a half game behind Pittsburgh and Boston for the NL lead.

The Superbas were facing the Pirates kicking off an incredibly important series and how did they react?

How about Eddie Plank pitching a NO-HITTER!!!

Brooklyn won 2-0!

The Superbas now lead the National League with Pittsburgh and Boston trailing by a half game.

A back-and-forth game went to the 12th inning before Patsy Dougherty hit a two-out single that scored Antonio Perez for the walk-ff 5-4 win over the Reds.

That is five wins in a row for Brooklyn.

Eddie Plank picked up his 3rd win in a week as the Superbas beat the Reds 4-3, winning their 6th in a row.

Cale Bernard hurt his shoulder and it looks like he is heading to the D.L. for about three weeks.

Ken Davis kept the Reds in check just enough for Brooklyn to do its job, beating Cincinnati 4-3.

The Superbas had a balanced attack with ever starter other than Ed Konetchy collecting at least one hit.

Eddie Plank pitched nine strong innings but he was still long gone by the time the Superbas beat the Phillies 3-2 in the 13th off Ed Konetchy's first major league hit - an RBI single scoring Sam Crawford.
