Lightbulb How to edit league schedules for any FHM game

Iím sure some of you would like to have a schedule editor. Well, I finally know how, at least for Windows users. Iím using Windows 7 for the tutorial. You can do this on any FHM game.

Before we can get started, I recommend you have a back-up copy of the original league schedule in case something goes wrong.

1. Go to Computer and either copy this path on the address bar Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 5\schedules or search for Out of the Park Developments folder to open up Franchise Hockey Manager 5 folder, and then the schedules folder.

2. This is important. You can either open a league schedule in WordPad or right click to go to the edit option and it will open up notepad. But I recommend WordPad.

Tip: If WordPad is not your default program to open up .XEL files. Right click and go to open with. If itís not in the menu, go to choose default program and click on WordPad. In this example, I'm going to open up the NHL_2015.xml file.

3. See which games you want to change. For instance, letís say I want to move the Pittsburgh at Washington game from 1/24 to 3/1. The game labels are like this <GAME day="110" time="2005" away="9" home="16" arena="-1" note="0" />

Also here are the team numbers if you need it
0 Montreal
1 Toronto
2 Boston
3 Chicago
4 Detroit
5 New York Rangers
6 Los Angeles
7 Dallas
8 Philadelphia
9 Pittsburgh
10 St. Louis
11 Buffalo
12 Vancouver
13 Calgary
14 New York Islanders
15 New Jersey
16 Washington
17 Edmonton
18 Carolina
19 Colorado
20 Arizona
21 San Jose
22 Ottawa
23 Tampa Bay
24 Anaheim
25 Florida
26 Nashville
27 Winnipeg
28 Columbus
29 Minnesota

Tip: I recommend using the ďfind itĒ tool to make it easier to find which game you want to change.

4. Copy which game label you want.

Tip: Unless you really know your dates, I recommend you also use a calendar or the team schedule from another site like Hockey Reference or Wikipedia.

5. Paste it on which day you want it to be. Then change the game day number from the former to the latter.

I.E. <GAME day="110" time="2005" away="9" home="16" arena="-1" note="0" />

to

<GAME day="147" time="2005" away="9" home="16" arena="-1" note="0" />

And there you go. It should work 100%. You can also change the game day number in advance if you know which day to put it on before copying it. If you like, you can change the away and home numbers as well. Donít worry about the time, arena, and note codes.

I hoped this helped you out. Have a great day.

That's good, but will it work for "future" seasons? Do you need to do it before starting a new save? Will it work with other leagues?

Also, what's up with Rainbow Dash? Have a daughter?

I don't think so Alessandro. Yes, you do it before creating a new save. And as of your third question, I think so. As long as it's on the schedules folder then it should be fine.

LOL. No.
