Team Cash Limits?

Apologies for posting again, but I took a screenshot this time to illustrate the point:

I'm in my fictional team's 41st year of existence and have been with the same team all 41 years. I've accrued a cash supply of more than $2 billion since I turn off a cash limit. However, crossing a certain threshold just over $2 billion seems to overwhelm the system and it turns my banked dollars into negative budget room - as in, my remaining budget room comes in at more than $2 billion. Is there some reason why this error is happening?

Yes, cash is stored in a signed integer, so has an internal max capacity of about 2B. I'd suggest setting a cash max to around 2B (or a little less) to avoid this problem. Or alternately, if you go to the game settings page, there's a button there called "Adjust Financial Coefficient". If you read the text above it, it gives a description, but basically, it shifts numbers internally so that you can store larger numbers in there (however it may have the effect of rounding off certain other values used).

Thanks for the reply. Any chance this is going to be changed for future versions? Just seems like the OOTP equivalent of Y2K (though I'll be the first to admit I don't know the intricacies of coding!).

It's rare for teams to need anywhere close to that value. And as I mentioned, you can use that "adjust coefficient" button and hit that even 2 or 3 times without drastically altering the current system - if you hit it 3 times, for example, all it does is change the absolute minimum dollar value the game can use to 1000$, and will then allow a 2 trillion upper limit.
